Ok. I just started seriously playing this game coz i got tired of WoW.
But i hit a wall right from the beginning. :banghead: I read somewhere that i shouldn't use any SP until lvl 6 and so i haven't. But where should i put 'em when i hit lvl 6? Im getting kinda confused when reading those build guides, none actually explain where to put my points while leveling. So if someone more experienced player would tell me how to spend my SP while lvlng, i'd appreciate it.

Oh, and i put all my stat points to STR when lvlng to 6. From here i think i'll put all points to INT. Tell me if i screwed up so i can make a new character now rather than when i hit lvl 30 or so.

Thank you.

Welcome to silkroad. I will try to help you a little bit.
You must put your sp points according to the masteries you want to use. If you read the guides they will tell you which masteries you should use. If you want to follow the guides you will most likely have to farm, unless you follow ones that say ways in which you dont need to farm. About putting your points on str or on int, its up to you, if you want advice take a look at some of the tons of guides we have here. Everything you need you will probably find here:
[GUIDES] Guides and Useful Links for Characters and Skills
Good luck.

I was thinking of something which helps me lvl fast. Im not that interested in PvP, so my build doesn't have to depend on it. So if you can suggest some PvE build i'd appreciate it.
Thank you.

If you want to level fast you should be a nuker or a bowman (for Chinese) or a wizard, rogue, cleric and maybe bard or warlock (for Europe).

If you're going to be a nuker, wizard, cleric, bard or warlock you should put your stat points into INT. This gives you more damage. Adding STR gives you more hitpoints but reduces your damage. Since you're level 6 it doesn't really matter if you've got a few points in STR.

If you're going to be a rogue you need STR ONLY. You should also use a crossbow if you want to level fast, but dagger skills look better if that's what does it for you. If you're going to be a bowman you should put all your points into STR (although there are some people that say putting some points into INT works). Since this is your 1st character I'd say go with the tried and tested STR only for a bowman.

For just about every build you choose you'll need to farm. If you have a low SP build (Euro character with no submastery, and some Chinese characters) you can get by, by having your mastery level a few levels below your character level. Most Chinese builds need to do some serious farming. I'd recommend keeping a 3 level gap until you get the hang of the game then farm at higher levels. So when your character is level 10, your highest mastery should be 7 and so on.

If you choose a Chinese character you should level up 2 of the force trees (lightning/fire/cold/force) and the weapon that your are using. Bicheon = sword, Heuksal = spear, Pacheon = bow. Nukers use sword/shield or a spear, don't get blades or glaives. There should be guides that say which skills you should/shouldn't get for each build type. Generally nukers need most of the lightning tree and some of fire/cold. I wouldn't get force since this is your first character. Nukers also only need a few weapon skills, usually the chain attacks & a couple of others. Bowmen get usefull skills in lightning/fire/cold so you'll need to decide which 2 trees you want. Bowmen need a lot more weapon skills than nukers, but a lot less force skills. You can expand to 3 force trees later, but it uses a lot more SP so I wouldn't advise it until you're ready to farm.

For a European character you just need to choose one class and get pretty much all the skills for that class. Some skills are PvP only, so you don't need to get them. You can also get a submastery, but that takes up more SP. Bard as a submastery is useful for PvE because of the skills Moving March and Noise. Cleric as a submastery gives you buffs and healing skills. Warlock as a submastery gives you status effects but these aren't as usefull for PvE unless you're fighting party monters a lot.

Hope this helps you get started. :)

Honestly the most fun I ever had grinding, was with a european warlock.
As a a warlock, you only need to add points to int, but they're mad fun with the amount of skills , DoT (damage over time), debuffs and immobilizing skills.
You should try it if you love PvE :D
(If it doesn't work out, i'd go for a chinese pure int s/s, str builds don't work out for PvE well, but I should mention, this isn't like WoW, grinding will get REALLY old.)

Go nuker, after level 30 you will be the best at PvE. And even though you aren't interested in PvP, you will be good at it. You wont be able to tank because your hp will be low, however you will put up a good fight against other strength characters.

I love damage output, thats why a nuker is for me. If you like to tank more, maybe go pure str glavier or pure str blade

With Nuker you should think about going pure intelligence sword and shield build or since you put some points into str, go hybrid using spear (7:1 hybrid is a good build)

With s/s you can tank a little more with your shield but with more hp you can tank more too.

I have both, now I prefer s/s because I love some of the skills. I have a level 30 hybrid int spear build on Xian and s/s pure int on Tibet (currently grinding from 24 to 30)

With both builds Fire and Light will be your main skills I dont think you need to spend sp on Cold just yet. After you get your nukes (fire and light powerful ranged attacks) you can get it.

Also, you should choose your imbue (first skills in each force mastery tree ex. fire) as fire. It is the most damaging, and thats what you want.

For your gear, use Armour it gives the most defence. You can go garment if you want (Your nukes will do more damage but you will be pretty weak)

Anyways Good luck in choosing your build. I would go with the pure int s/s nuker if i was you

Ok, all that might have been confusing. Here is something a bit less
confusing...

AP= Every time you level up, you get three of these. You may put them into Strength(STR) or Intelligence.(STR)
SP= You gain a fixed amount of skill points depending on your leveling gap.
Gap= Lets say you are lvl 10, and you have your highest mastery level at 5, you would have a gap of 5. 10-5=5. The higher your gap, the more SP you get but you level up slower.
Pure= Means that you put all your AP into STR, or INT
Hybrid= For example, a 2:1 STR would mean every level up you put 2 AP into STR and 1 into INT

Pick a character race to be. Chinese or European.
Chinese the available weapons to chose are and the AP you should invest in:
Blade/Shield Pure strength
Sword/Shield Pure INT
Spear Pure INT
Glaive Pure STR
Bow Pure STR

You could also do hybrids in those weapon catagorys but it is advised you put more AP into what is listed.

Now i have no experience in Euro characters so im sorry i cannot put input.

BTW congratz on quiting WoW
