I'd also need some people who can do some research later (about like how much a sos phy.atk increases etc) so if anyone wants to do that sometime you can PM me with your msn-address and I'll contact you there. I will need it when the development is in further stage (gameserver+) so it's not needed yet and I'll come back on this later.
@Today: Today I'll be rewriting some 'core' stuff, to make the code fit better - so no updates for you guys today. Maybe the auth packet.

You should add Taklamakan and then watch all the people trying to kill Yarkan at lvl 70 lol. It would also loosen up the grinding spots for nachals etc.

Yea I've seen vids of people killing Yarkan just when the 80 cap came out. You needed like 100+ people to kill him and that was pretty epic.

Yep, and that's how uniques should be in the first place
indeed, a unique isnt a unique when its no challenge. U could also just add the southern part of Takla where there are only the mobs till 70 and spawn yarkan there, cuz getting a yarkan kill at 70 cap with generals and shamans around may be a bit too much of a challenge

at Arena it's not so hard, and if people made it when 80 cap first came out, it's even more easier to do it now

Yarkan will most likely be included, maybe Roc with some lowered HP on some events..
Anyway, ontopic: Like every programmer does walk into trouble I do, I'm having problems with get an unsigned short in java, since they don't exist and the current value for the short is higher then a short can take. So I have to make a way around that.. But hopefully I'll fix it soon.
@Edit: I fixed it, took me a good day . Anyways tommorow I will be doing auth + a start on the gameserver, then hopefully Saturday there will be some char creation packet done.

Having mobs up to 80 won't be too bad. If you and your friends need a challenge but don't feel like jobbing or cape pvping etc. you can go kill higher lvl mobs together. If a game was as "grindy" as sro, then it should have mobs that are higher level than you can get to, so it adds another challenge for people.

Auth packet handling is done, i can receive the username/password & server id now when you login, I just need to do the response and I can start on the gameserver.

I am not going to "bash" this project as its real, I bash ngSRO because it is not. But all I can say is 1-2 months is very unrealistic. But good luck anyway.

I'm working on doing SQL queries with a threadexecutor now, so I won't hardcore things anymore. If this is done I can start with character creation/username & password loading/saving. Hopefully I have sunday some character creation fully done with SQL.

well my idea is let him finish all the parts needed for lvl 70, and heck even FW if he can. THEN maybe he can make takla or whatever when all the money is flowing to him
Also, William, what are you going to do about suns? One of the reason people hate ecsro's pvp is ause there's full sun unbeateable people. which is fuckin lame. I really would hope you take out sun at last tier. 70 cap, Chinese only, WITH SUN? Talk about pot wars.
well i hope it stays like it was on isro at cap 70, where there were only sos lvl64 max, no som nor sosun
