With a good so set, nice s/s "i usually make sure i alway shave sos +5 every time i get new sets, well till i hit level cap then ill try for higher.

I need clarification on this, will shouts cause stun eventually? The new fire nukes have transfer and also all the status effects you get from these for buffing makes it a great build surely?

If i keep range good, speed high surely the lack of bicheon skills will not truely effect my char?

weapon skills are essential because it gives u a breather during pvp.

like knockdown, stun, or knockback.
pure force doesn't give u any of that, and as a full int u're sitting there taking every hit.
I've had friends with pure force, they didnt like it and farmed for weapon skills because they died too much.

We can stop making more of these now cuz we already have one that is 2 pages long.

Nobody knows what is making the Shouts cause those mini stuns in those videos. Until we are able to try it out ourselves no one will ever know. I cannot give any reason other than them actually interupting skills or causing mini stuns. Like I've said before I saw it in more than that one video but their is no explanation someone who does not have a character maxed on kSRO can give.

The definition of the Lion Shout series talks of a disturbance given to the opponent AND damage. But, I've also seen the stats on the latest shout in kSRO and I can tell you that it does not talk of that, well not the actual stats but the Konpaku stats which are pretty accurate.

I also can tell you now that the Fire nukes are powerful but I just don't know if a 20% Snow Shield is worth giving it up. I know at higher caps that losing Ghost Walk will make Glaviers fairly harmless if you run but now they have it and you are at no better of an advantage if you can't make the distance between him and you stick, Bladers aren't that much of a threat and won't turn into one. A smart person using a Bower will never let you get a single nuke off once the 2nd KB combo comes out unless you nuke at the same time he starts using Strong Bow which might be good if the shouts actually can cause a mini stun, that reminds me gotta make public service announcement 4. And versus euros it will just depend if you can get away and then nuke them first.

Snow Shield! I never would have thought of that would be doing it unless I watched 2 specific Videos in a row and was specifically thinking of how it stuns =|.

Anyway, I would have to say now after knowing that, the best build is either a Spear Light Cold nuker or a Fire Light Cold nuker with Fire nukes. I figure this is how it goes...

Spear Light Cold is able to stick people in position which is the only way you will be able to escape the KB from Bow combos for a nuke. With the ability to have extra HP even when on S/S set it would also be a decent straight up nuker. I can tell you now the way people play the Spear nukers now will never work at higher levels. It will be more about using the Spear skills to get them stuck in place, even if it's for a second, so you can gain some distance and for making a quick spike when it's safe to nuke, Nuke + Ghost Spear.(You would seriously be surprised how many people don't follow up nukes with Ghost Spear) Also after knowing that that Snow Shield is the reason that the Glaviers are getting stopped is good to know, I expect you can quickly disable someone with Snow Shield on by using Shout x 2 + Ghost Spear.

Fire Light Cold nuker will definately do a lot more straight up nuke damage than the Spear nuker and will also have a greater Nuke range than the Spear nuker too. I expect if you can at least get 1 Nuke off you should be fine but vs Bowers KB I'm not to sure what you can do. I can say this will be much better in large scale PvP though because of its range.

I saw one video where a glaiver was using ghost spear and got interrupted by a shout while getting into the position (kind of lowers his stance before he spins) You use mp as soon as you start a cast, so he should have completed that skill. I don't think he was using snow shield either. Plus, on the video in the other thread, the nuker was doing 24k nukes, I don't think snow shield was being used with that kind of dmg on lvl 100 glaiver...

The first video http://youtube.com/watch?v=AfY67X_cJwA
Watch the glaiver sit there when the nuker uses two shouts in the middle of the PvP.

Saw a pure str glavier using snowshield and getting *stunned* all the time today. He just ran out of mp while starting the skill, wich made him do the first few frames of the animation, but didnt deliver the damage and also canceling the animation.

this is pretty easy to test, just get a pure str with a huge snowshield and fight with eachother.

just looks like the glaiver's tryin to spam soul spear emperor and its in cooldown til he finally executes the skill.

and 24k nukes sounds feasible on a lvl 100 glaiver since they get a huge boost in str in gears and their hp passive.

lvl 64 glaive = 12k hp
lvl 80 glaive = 22k hp

only 16 lvls and its a huge jump in HP.
i can see a lvl 100 glaiver easily getting to 50k hp.

Full Blues + Passive is about 40k HP for Lvl 100.

I have been playing now for about 9 months and I now know I really dont like PVP. I am currently playing on a pure STR bow, but all i see around me is full INT nukers.

If all I want to do is PVE would I choose a weapon mastery for this or stick with just the force ones? If I did choose a weapon I think I would lean toward spear for the HP increase in the passive.

I am also having a hard time finding what the "better" imbue to use for a int. I currently use fire. there seems to be argument to using the cold imbue or light. grrrr wish it was easier to learn this without starting over or trying to de-lvl.

because I would be starting over I would be planning on the 90 cap at least. I know I can only farm enough for 3 trees so what ones to farm for?

Spear? 90
Fire? 90
Light 90
Ice 90

about the lion shout stun...

i dont think it was a real stun since it looked like he was just nooby and using vigor pot instead of attacking or waiting for a cooldown

no stun, probably lag or scratching his nose or something.

stun (advice to mute sound)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=gSiLdpSmVDQ

the build is worth it if you want to be a snow shield only player.

@ryanh55
bows become more fun in their later levels especially at doing jobs, fortress and guild wars.
