Should Warlocks go hybrid?
of course you can probably make a 3 hit death to a 4 hit death, but most of the time you stun/ sleep your opponent before they can land a continuous 2-3 hits on you. So is it benefitial to go hybrid for warlock, will Dots damage be affected? I know your nuke will probably be weaker, but skills like dusk armor and bloody trap do absolute damage.
So basically can they still kill effectivly after they go hybrid? or you have to fight longer to achieve same results?
and when i say hybrid I am thinking minimum 87%-90%int

From what I understand dot dmg is influenced by how much int your character has. Even if that wasn't the case you should still make a warlock pure int because int does influence dmg on your nukes and on your weapon. Also from what I seen in warlock pvp I would say the trade off in hybriding a warlock (aka the extra hp) isn't necessary and doesn't justify the trade off for it because they can still do well in pvp as a pure int.

actually you both have a point, I am lvl 39 and when i am fighting giants/ pt mobs I do run out of mp once in a while even though i am pure int, which i think its funny. I guess maybe should work on managing my skills use to minimize mp consumption.
but in the case for hybrid, what if its only like maybe 30 points into str? would that be useful and not affect your nuke damage so much?

Speaking as a level 80 hybrid warlock/cleric Godly in pvp, found it worth going hybrid for.
edit* 8*% Mag balance hybrid. So yeah I added quite a lot of str, my nukes and damage are comparable to a 73 or so full int, but my tanking capabilitys are far superior.

Pvp wise I can tank many people at one time and majority of the time I always end up winning. Still working on a pimped set though, proving quite a costly challenge o_o;

It depends on the person im fighting, if its a nuker with ice shield, I use absolute damage moves so its not really based on hybrid or not, as for others I wouldn't really know, I still do considerable damage overall and they fall flawlessly.

I am really debating whether to go hybrid or not, because once you go hybrid you can't go back the slight tanking ability does seems really useful if a bunch of people are attacking you.

I made the switch around 55 and 56 and I don't regret it, good luck.

What % do you run your pots at? Can you give us a run down on your gear stats? weapon etc... I find it surprising that you don't run out of mp. Do you have a sub?

not suprising he doesnt run out of mp...
euro chars are mp cheap except wizards...
just a 50% on mp pot should do it, maybe 75% if you are really using skills one after another

My gear has like 43 int on it, 580 mp. So nope, definantly not maxed. Sub is cleric and my pots run at an average 60%. Weapon +5 with like, 41% matk. Used to be +7 . But uhm...just an old +3 set and im still okay. Lvl80 0 gap. The one thing that I do need is maxed str and hp on gear, to really bring out hybrid potential.

Berto Keep us updated on your experiences with your character. I never would have thought you could go hybrid with a warlock, well without some major sacrifice I mean. Love to see a video if you decide to make one.

I would personally like to see that hybrid build in action, *anticipating* . I guess a hybrid does depend a lot on good gear.
