So i am currently lvl 37, Pure STR glavie... but lately I've been watching ALOT of
Blader videos. Since i am so low lvl still i kinda want too switch over to blader...
but i wonder if it would be a good idea or if i should restart.
also... Blader's opinion about the "Bladers can't die, but they can't kill"
myth.

Let me start off with just saying that you should stay with Glavie for the fact that,

1. It costs WAY too much gold if you are doing it through Curst Hearts AND you lose out on 20% of the SP you had gained.

2. If you are buying silk, I personally think it's a waste of money. I'd rather just create a new character to level.

3. The one and only way to test your true strenght in my opinion of any build is to have the level 80 skills, other than that, you really don't know the potential of your build.

Now onto the myth about a blader. Before I would have to agree with you. That's before the European Update. But now that there has been new debuffs within the new chain (Lighting Chain) and Smashing Series (Flying Stone Smash) which can inflict Bleed, Impotent, and Division, making the blader hit as hard as a glavier at the speed of a bladers attack. So yes it is a myth. Bladers are much stronger now. I hate to admit it as I am a Glavie type, but as 90 cap rolls around, they will just get stronger.

I hope I answered your question.

I say you work on one. Once you have achieved the goal of being a capped player ( which will take a while). Then you can focus in powerleveling or simply just leveling your other character. Don't switch off leveling two characters one day and the other one the next day. It'll be eternal for you to hit 80 that way. I say level your glavie character, unless you are passionate about bladers.

they seem to be a very stable build which is what i like.
I kinda feel weka without having a good defense,
though i admit the 2.5-3k crits of a glaive are a REALLY nice thing.
Bladers seem to be better off, so i guess in a way i want a strong steady build.
I raised a S/S pure INT that was horrid in my opinion because it was nothing but power
i wouldn't dream of PvPing with it. but it was only 33.

Like I said, you really don't know the true power of a build unless you got it to 80 full farmed. But to me it seems as you like to be defensive and not die alot. So I say you go with a Pure Str Blader Build. It may seem weird but I believe a level 80 Full Farmed Pure Str Blader with the masteries of 80 Bicheon 80 Fire 80 Force and 60 or 30 (If preparing for 90 cap) light would make a great build. All the debuffs you can do with the force and heal yourself with force as well after a KD. You would hit really hard after a good amount of Vital Spots. Only thing you'd be sacrafising would be a small amount of Parry Ratio and Speed. Which can't be that bad since if you are running away, you can tank a few hits.

after reading the amazing Pure STR Blader guide
twice.. i must say i really love how they sound.
and well though it most cost Alot more to buy a blade & sword.
I think it may be the best build for me...
I'll just have to sell the D6 glavie i already got :banghead:

but u can get a little frustrated when u try to pvp in ur low lvls of 40's .....starting to pvp in 50 is the best idea ....

thanks :D , i have already sold all my old glavie stuff but kept my prot set for D5.
now all i have to do is wait for server traffic to go down again

Also i was building my char. in a SP calculator charater builder thingy...
i noticed i go without any grasswalk phantom, is it really ok for a
pure STR to only have grass walk flow lvl 7?

grats on makin a blader, i think they rock too. anywho in terms of no grasswalk phantom though it can be useful to chase, since people often believe bladers cant be killed but cant kill either few will un from you. And even if they do you have blade force series, sword dance series, and of course kd. It may not guarantee that you get the kill but it can help.

I have a 7x Pure str Blader and I'm very happy with it. It is a really fun build and the myth about blades can only tank but not kill is very wrong. I have no prob killing people my level and even over my level.

Well not if you wear Protector. But if you wear Garment as you should. It is perfectly fine. You'll be moving at what I belive 35% + 20%, which is like 55% Grass Walk Speed 2? As a blader you'll be able to tank as well.

nope you don't need phantom to do well in pvp. Its great for attacking and running away, but as a tanker, I doubt you'd die that much

Yeah, but why follow the rest of the people when you can take a risk of becoming even greater. That's what all the great characters in our history have done. Testing out this Force Blader might be one of the best builds out there. I'd farm a force blader myself but I'm doing my Glavier atm.

well i started today lvl 10 now.
and i havn't really gotten anywhere deep into the build yet
but i must say it is a beautiful thing to see "BLOCK" in red letters :D
and i am happy going force, i always wanted to incorporate it into a build
i thought about my Glavie but every glavie told me no way :banghead:

another question is, I love job wars but if i am not able to pvp til about lvl 50
should i take merchant 20-40 than go 10 lvls without any job and become Hunter or thief?
or can i take Hunter or Thief right after hitting lvl 40 and play activly and effectivly

also, another silly question probably to most.
is the mountain shield skills worth the sp?
i know as a Pure INT it was amazing... but if the mountain shield
skills don't help against magic, will a pure STR still need them?

To be honest I wouldn't job until you at least hit 8D. But that's personal preference. I can't really help you there because I don't even job and I'm 8D (Not 80 yet).

Mountain Shield. As a blader it's great that you up both of the shields. One against Str builds and the Block Ratio one for INTS. Why for INTS? Imagine blocking a whole 7k-10k hit just because of it. WOW, can be a life saver. But right now you should start farming a bit. I reccomend it so at level 30 you can use your very first vital spot. As soon as I'm capped and farmed with ideal gear Imma powerlevel myself a force blader. Might even become my main if it lives up to the hype I've been giving it. But it's all in time and we'll just have to see.

yeah i have started farming it,
i plan to Take a REALLY long time and get 250ksp before moving on,
i took the advice max your mastery & skills to lvl 7 take 7 lvls pacheon
buy a SOS+3 lvl 16 bow and kill Bandits at the bandit stronghold.
after using the skills calculator, I've figured out to max what i want at lvl 80
i'll need 501,921sp so i think if i farm to 250k than farm again at penons
i should be good. just because i don't have anything near the patience to get 500k+
in one place :banghead:

glaivers are still strong. stunning an opponent is an advantage, and your crits hurt. however glaivers get a better chance at winning if you have sox gear, which is not easy to get

no no, it is nothing like that Glavie's are a force to be reckoned with, it's simply
They're for agreessive players who like High damage and huge crits (if i am correct only
Bow players get higher crits than glavies). it's simply i like to be well rounded
and for me even with the 3,998hp at lvl 37 i felt i was too offensive and no defense
which made me uncomfortable.
IMO the two most popular build is SRO are Glavie & Bow.. atleast on the server i play on.

Aggressive is all me, I'm don't really care about defense...my playing style is pretty berserker, if I take down 2+ guys and die I did my part :)

glavie owns...
blader vs glavie : if both same stuff same level

blader cant kill
blader dont die
glavie cant kill
glavie dont die

when one stun
the other kd

and so hp keep on 80%+
soooo
i rather prefer glavie bcoz i waste less money on buying stuff...(don't need to buy shield)

I like balance, over pure powerhouse builds, also to be rather honest i am a
Chinese Char. puritan, I refuse to even try a euro build.
