Hey guys i was wondering a little bit about the Warlock class. Ive seen this girl on my server whos a rogue/warlock and shes crazy strong and only lvl 73. i guess its because of the warlock stuff she does prior to her whippin out the xbow. I was considering trying this but i wanted to see what everyone else thought about it to make sure i didnt miss any thing. Also, i don't know much about the Warlock...can someone just tell me some on the key moves and maybe some hints on becoming a warlock? thanks smile.gif (im lvl 56 with 41 warrior mastery that im still working on lowering...=curst hearts=good SP=lvling up warlock)

rogues can easily kill without warlock sub.
its just overkill and unnecessary if you can already 1-crit a lvl 80 pure str chinese.
you're better off investing on cleric or bard.
if you really want warlock as your sub, id suggest looking into 1hand sword/shield warrior sub warlock.

Well see one of the things i was thinking about is...with crossbow extreme as you know....takes 40% physical def away and what makes the biggest difference is that it also takes half your HP away. Now if you add some of the warlock skills i dont think you would even need to use xbow extreme since you put the debuffs on them which would keep your phy def at its regular level and keep all your HP AND still make you alot stronger. Whether or not i think im just going to try it out because i like some of the warlock skills.

not necessarily it depends on what you want to do. If you have DD or EX on yeah you can do some extreme damage but you leave yourself open. With a Warlocks sub you can put out the almost the same damage by using debuffs without having to sacrifice your health or defense....Yeah a capped full farmed rogue with DD on will have no problem killing a Glaiver if he gets the first hit but lets say a Blader with castle shield...Warlock subclass definitely has its advantages....

It's all about circumstances. If you are rogue cleric, you will need some time for that bless spell, but you can also use the other skills to buy some time, and we are talking pure tank when you have a cleric sub. If you are rogue/warlock, sure, you can life leech once in a while, and it probably will help you, but not enough to keep you alive in 2vs1, or maybe even 1vs1 if you only use the leech skills and don't stun or sleep. You are also running out of mp real soon.
Sure, 80% stun is not much of a chance, but what happens when you fight a buffed char during guild wars, fortress wars and job wars (once more and more lvl 80 clerics show up), someone with expensive pills (I've seen a few people using them now even against bladers (for the division and bleed). Won't be too rare seeing Holy Spell on every party when you are almost guaranteed to have some with a cleric sub in each party, every 2nd wiz, warlock or rogue is a cleric....
You will spend plenty of time debuffing and watching "resist" signs come up in meaningful battles. In all of those, being a cleric is pure benefit since you can't really cancel auto healing or immunity or god mode...
Keep in mind warlock is my worst class in terms of knowledge, it has so many skills I haven't looked at, so I can't tell you much of the advantages that will work against a buffed char...besides reflect...and wheel bind...and stun....

heh...
wrong about the pill/holy word thing though
the dots aren't resisted... the effects they cause are though so instead of getting both dot and the burn/dull/poison/bleed/etc you end up just with dot... which is still good damage

Alright well thanks for the insight everybody.....i think even if warlock/rogue isnt that succesful together i might just have the warlock to help other (guildies, union, friends) in PVP or other situations when they cant quite kill each other...i think slappin on a bit of division, decay, and weaken will do the job ^^ ...like i said if they dont go well together than ill just use xbow when killing people....not likes REQUIRED to have to skills anyways...im sure it will all be alright....i think every class has their own ups and downs....
