Hi, I'm a 2:1 Hybrid INT, and I'm a little stingi in regards to SP usage, so I wanted to ask, between Horse's Thunderbolt (Light nuke book3) and Flame Wave bomb (fire nuke book 4) which would be a more suitable nuke to use? Since I am 2:1, i rarely nuke in pvp anyway, mainly use my spear skills, but I like to nuke after kb, and I want to use the nuke that will give me the best results in that case.
Thanks.

well, since you want to use a nuke after you KB someone, I'd suggest going with the one that has the shortest cast time which would be the flame wave bomb...can get off that nuke before they're back attacking you.

keep in mind that lightning is stronger BUT needs to be cast at lower distance, fire can be used for further distance.

actually the strongest nuke at this cap and skills lies with the fire tree, not lightning

IMO:
lightning has the potential to out damage Fire because of the shock status, but that is only considering when your opponent has no pills to take the status off.
So ya for a 1 time payment with no strings attached, I would go for Fire, because it gives you the most consistent damage.

Are you guys telling me know one knows which nuke is stronger and what the cast times are
Why not get light nuke for grinding and pvp, or does the fire nuke do splash?

well lightening is the strongest hands down, mabby the nukes have such a wide range of damage compared to the fire, but a pure/hybrid int always needs ice, for the def. They need there wep mastery no doubt... So now you have a bit more points to choose from either fire or light, fire does do more damage, but it has no magical buffs, as lightening does... So with 30 masteries to light thats only gets you the second book of the must peircing, which is 7%, but when maxed i think it goes to 12%+, so lets say light does
1k fire does 1.1k, 12% of 1k is 120... so lightening is now at 1,120 - fire 1.1,
now it may not seem like alote but im dealing with low numbers, and this does not include the lightening effect, plus i believe that the newest light nuke has the highest max damage, out of the 3 nukes... oh and Scar..... Noopies =Þ

Oh wow thanks for the great response everyone. I think I will go with the Fire nuke, because as some said, the cast time is shorter, distance required is shorter, and the damage is pretty much same as the light nuke. Thanks everyone.
PS: one more thing, in regards to the light nuke splashes, does the damage done to the originally targetted enemy decrease as the nuke transfers to other enemies? For example, if I did a light nuke to one enemy alone, and did "x" amount of damage, then I did the nuke again to the same enemy, but 2 other people were standing nearby, would the "x" amount on the original guy drop? Or does the damage decrease only one the other 2 people?
Thanks in advance

It only decreases on the second mob/persone, and trust me your gonna regret going fire, cause all the buffs for fire are, for phys type characters, hence the phys damage buff, light has the piercing force, the last nuke book is the strongest, the passive, and the concentration buff increases def, combined with ice can save an int type char, the phantom walk can give you some space between your enemy, grass walk can give you a chance to repot to full, lightening nuke also is good for luring alote of monsters when leveling, fire gives you a lil more range, and is a lil faster, now everyone has there opinions about each tree, and yes each of them has there advantages, but lightening helps more in everything...

wicked wrote: What about light, cold and fire and no wep tree at all? the pure int force nuker would work but a 2int1str without weapon skills cant kill, its already hard to kill as 2int1str. use fire as your main imbue and nukes from fire. you want at least get the most damage output from your character and fire has the strongest nukes. flame wave wide is still the strongest nuke when maxed compared to the rest. average damage flame wave wide will end up with more damage than horse thunderbolt.

i think the question should be which mastery would be better for you in the future (90 cap) since you can only have one up to 90 as im assuming you would want to split the other with ice for snow shield at higher caps im thinking a good build would be
90 heuksal 90 fire 70 light 50 ice 2:1 hybrid int (73%) naked magic balance
other hybrids (85% magic balance+) 90 bicheon 90 light 60 fire 60 ice
anything inbetween might have some trouble at higher lvl caps choosing masteries but im sure it would work out in the end
and to answer your original question
the strongest nuke at this cap is actually flame wave burning (maxes at lvl 77) but light would be stronger until about lvl 100 when fire gets the next book...

flame wave burning level 18 709-1182(300%) flame wave wide level 13 780-1300(330%) flame wave bomb level 6 780-1300(263%) horse thunderbolt level 6 728-1352(300%)
average damage flame wave wide will be higher than any of these nukes.
