					| And for Ubuntu Linux? BTW the only reason I can think of that may cause blue screens after a defrag would be that the data has been moved into parts of the hard drive that are corrupted. In that case, chkdsk /f /r C:/ should help._________________

					| depends.
first time you do it on an older pc, it will take agess.

then it speeds up each time, aslong as your pc is kinda clean.

					| This will NOT improve your performance, You can ONLY improve your PC's performance by upgrading your Hardware(proc, mobo, gfx cards, etc).
This will ony keep your PC in shape.

thus we see, someone dosent know about pc's.
it will increase performance, not capactity, your thinking of capacity, ie hardware capabilities._________________

					| This was very helpful, I've been trying to find some good spycleaning freeware for years now.
I have some questions: Do you use a RAM optimizer? Do they actually free up RAM? What do you think about Windows Virtual Memory?
Just some things I've been wondering about

					| ram optimizers hardly work, they direct memory to the active application more, which windows does fine on its own.
and with virtual memory (paging file), if you have 100gb+ space on your pc, setting your file to 1gig (1024mb) will be fine.

but virtual memory is slow, its okay on applications, but if it kicks in on games, you will lag, as your hardrive is acting like ram sticks, but without the load power.

Sorry for my english. If we all had new computers, why would we need to run programs like CCleaner and JkDefrag to begin with? The point that the creator of the guide is trying to make is that there are ways to CLEAN UP a messy system to improve performance (in other words, getting the system as close as possible back to its original, out of the box performance).
Please think logically about what a person is saying before attempting to discredit him/her.
To the creator of this guide: Thank you for creating this. The programs that you have recommended have proven to be excellent so far; CCleaner cleaned up over 2gb of crap on my computer! Great job

					| Wow, this guide is definitely a 10/10. ^_^
My computer looked 10x worse than yours on JKDefrag. Plus it removed 2,700 megabytes of stuff when you said it would probably only take away 100 xD It was pretty screwed up, huh? I bet it will run much more smoothly now, thanks!

					| i did this and my comp runs alote smoother, but i have a question concerning ram, my comp used to be able to run 1gb ram, but all of a sudden my comp stopped and made a beeping sound, took out one of the 512 and it started working again, any reason why it wouldn't work anymore? _________________

BTW, this is my 100th post I've tried CCleaner and JKDEFRAG or w/e its called and they work fine with 32-bit Vista.
Although I found that the Defrag didn't really do much for me because I have a program on my comp that does a defrag like every week, its a scheduler, its pretty nice
