I've got a few questions about skills & cap.

Can a capped glaive user with only 3 masteries (heuksal fire & light) survive pvp ?
Is ice mastery even needed for glaive players ?If so, how much to up it ?

Builds I'm seeing have all 300 masteries in 80 cap, which doesn't seems good for me because A) A lot of SP and B)you need to delevel skills in each cap raise = waste of time and money.

What is the best build for me if I want to save on sp but still be relatively good in pvp ? (What glaive skills ?)

You'll do fine with fire/light

don't need ice taht bad, only if you want to max out pvp performance (you'll have to delevel it someday)

A lot of glaivers don't add cold.. It's not necessay.
I'm still debating whether or not to get it myself (only for the shield).
I say if you have the skill points to spare, go for it! Some of the skills will come in handy sometime. =]

Having the 25% snow shield is recommended. I'm a lvl 77 and I can kill some lvl 80 (decent farmed) nukers.

cold.. i hav my at lvl 60.. my build is as follows: 80 heuksal 80 fire 70 light 60 ice... and 10 pacheon (which im planning to remove at 90 cap, and delvl light to 60, so my build becomes, 90 heuksal, 90 fire, 60 light 60 ice)..

having ice is quite useful, u get the small phys defence increase, and u also get snow shield, which is good for tanking, but if u go beyond the first book lvl1, then u might hav mp problems with using skills... and the best skill i find most useful is the frost nova series.... the 2nd book is extremely useful for a glaiver when u fight some cheap ass noob with mercs lol.. u on ur snake storm, then u freeze the mercs, and kill the merc user, works everytime.. coz u can tank all the mercs with the snake storm, and u freeze them so they cant do anything, or theyre slowed..

okay hope that helps lol..

lvl it to 50.

after 50 the snow shield doesnt help. you waste mp like a drug addict.

What about light ? does it really need to be maxed ? can't you stay with like 40-50 % grasswalk instead of maxed out ?

To answer your question, 20~30% snow shield makes a difference to a pure str glaivier. You dont always need it up, but you can use it when your hp runs too low. Dont take it any higher. Even with good int and mp+ on gear, you would run out of mp too easily.
