I was thinking if it's possible to get this...

... to a higher resolution, so as not to have blurry zooms. It might be, that i'm asking something very noobish, but if someone would be kind enough to do it (or, depending on the situation, explain to me why that's not possible or w/e) i'd greatly appreciate it. :)

+1. as far as i know illustrator is a seperate program.

Stress, Adobe Illustrator is, from what i understand, a vector-based graphics program, which means that like Macromedia Flash, once you create a shape, drawing, etc., you can resize it, stretch it, and abuse the hell out of it without pixellating it, damaging it, or doing any kind of destructive editing to it.

as far as i can tell, they are suggesting this program because it SHOULD allow you to resize your image w/o any quality loss. dunno for sure, as i'm not sure how it handles imported material. i know that Flash would not work quite as well for this application, and it too is vector-based. so maybe give it a try and post your findings?

problem with imported material in Illustrator, is that you will have to vectorize
it first. thats an option that comes with the program, but it can completely mess
up your imported image.

anywho, im not even sure if illustrator can resize a moving image.
tried flash?
flash can turn gif images into seperate frames on a timeline. you might be
able to resize em in there. i would try it for you but unfortunately im really
busy in school, got my biggest presentation tomorrow.

Flash treats imported images the same way. you CAN vectorize them, but like illustrator it seems, it is usually a destructive process that will probably do more harm than good in this case.
