I think I have a misunderstanding about the SP Gap.

I began SP farming at character level 26. I only had my Warrior mastery at level 26. I had not added a subclass. When I made it to 27 I did not increase my Mastery to 27. So I should be at 1 gap, Right? OK....So when I made it to character level 29 I decided to increase my rogue mastery to level 26 because it was my understanding that the gap was based on your highest mastery and if I did not go past 26, I would still be at gap 3. The amount of SP that I was getting for each kill dropped drastically!!!

So my thought is.....Is the gap actually based on the overall mastery? The overall right now is at 52/60 (since I leveled last night)

Okay ... I dont understand really what you want to ask ....
But lets say like this ....

You're level 50 ... and your warrior mastery is at lv.45 ....
You have rogue mastery on lv.40 ....

Your highest mastery is warrior mastery and that makes
5 gap .... (Level - Highest mastery= 50-45 = 5)

Overall mastery doesnt mean anything ... you just look at highest
mastery and your level.
1 gap = 10% more sp
2 gap = 20% more sp
3 gap = 30% more sp
4 gap = 40% more sp
5 gap = 50% more sp
6 gap = 60% more sp
7 gap = 70% more sp
8 gap = 80% more sp
9 gap = 90% more sp

9 is highest gap ... I mean you get most sp then ....
If you have 10 gap you will get same amount of 9 gap.

Hope I helped :)

What happened is your character lvl went up and the mob you were fighting stayed the same lvl. The xp/sp changes with that relationship.

ex.
if you are 24 and the mob is 26 you will get 100 xp

if you are 26 and the mob is 26 you will only get 80 xp

(numbers obviously made up)

That's the way that I thought it worked. However......

The problem is, when I added the rouge mastery, the amount of SP I was getting per kill dropped. I was getting more SP per kill the the amount of XP that I was getting. When I added the Rogue mastery, I am now getting more XP then SP. But I did not take the rogue mastery higher then the Warrior mastery. That is why I am thinking that it is based on the overall. Because I closed the gap in the overall from 26/52 to 52/60.

you said you had just leveled to 29 when added the rogue masteriy... are you sure you are not comparing XP gained in 2 different levels?

You know, now that I think about it that would make sense. Even though I do have an increase in SP, by leveling to 29, the amout of XP that I am getting has increased. Right? or am I completely off track.....

BTW I am a Euro that has been doing Chinese quests to help gain SP. So the MOB level has been increasing periodically.
