Well, Im not sure about ease of use, but GIMP is the only free graphics program I know of. Generally unless you go out and purchase a "point and click" graphics program you are going to need to learn alot. Those types of programs are only good for removing red-eye,e tc and they generally arent very good at that either.
http://www.gimp.org or thegim...bleh just google "the gimp graphics" youll find it

Wow fast replies thanks both =).
@Rizla - I had TheGIMP on my old Linux laptop and I couldn't get used to it.
@0l3n - You mean Adobe Photoshop right? =) (Not THAT good at comps, just keep being bored while waiting for inspection to get finished )

After using Adobe Photoshop for a little more than a week, I'm going to go ahead and say that if you're just going to play around with it for an hour or two, maybe three, tops, then Photoshop is not for you. It takes quite a while to learn to make anything decent. I've been learning for about a week, and all my stuff still looks like absolute shit compared to 0l3n's.
Now, if you're going to be learning how to use it 2 hours a week, 52 weeks a year during inspection, then it's definitely a great use of your time. Not only does it help you make great Sigs, but if you actually learn how to use it (not just make Sigs), whenever you need to do anything concerning digital art in the future, you'll be quite competent on your own. One of the primary reasons why I quit SRO was to invest that time into learning Photoshop, and I can honestly say that it's one of the better decisions that I've made in my life. And the community here is great.
If you have the money (as I believe a real copy of CS3 can be quite expensive), Photoshop for sure.
This:
beats this:
Good luck!

Vacation's going to end, so I think it's going to be harder to log in for a while or more. So then I'ld have lots of time I can't play sro to learn how to photoshop.

Then what are you waiting for? Get going.

Thanks for all your kind words
My dad said he still had CS2 somewhere, so now I got Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0 installed. (For free ).
My GT ends in 15 days, then I'll stop SROing a bit so I can learn how to use it.

play with the smudge tool on your background, also for your text color, use the little eyedropper tool and sample some color off the character in your signature

I recommend looking for tutorials dude. I'm still a rookie at Photoshop but I learnt quite a few features from tutorials myself.

Get more brushes, and a wide variety of them, it looks like your only using the defuly brushes in ur sigs.
http://www.deviantart.com
Abstract Brushes (Search for Destiny Set)
Vector Brushes
Grunge Brushes (easyest to use for beginners)
Tech Brushes
Splatter Brushes
Now, if your reading a lot of tuts, then im guessing most of them will probably use C4Ds, so get a WHOLE LOT from http://www.planetrenders.com (the only site i know that has good c4d renders lol)

I know atleast one of the brushes you used, and its a default, not a grunge brush. Also, I highly recomend staying away from grunge when first learning -- grunge is a crutch that I see alot of people lean on, and hardly ever do correctly. Despite grunges chaotic nature, it is an art to make it look good.
And I would follow those tips...
tech-gfx.net has some good tutorials. I recomend doing a few from there before you move on to experiment freely, bad habits in PS are hard to break and its better if you start out doing things correctly.

you dont want to use clouds. stay away from obvious filters! The ultimate goal of a piece is for people to look at it and say hmmmm, how did you do that? Not: I see you used clouds with an outer glow and a lens flare...
