Really not much different than botting, IMHO.

No this is leagle but the botting isn't

and i like this guide
but i just have 1 computer :(

What I meant was the theory of power leveling isn't much different from botting. With botting, your character levels up without you actually being there to do anything. You get free experience.

In power leveling, you sit near someone, trace them, whatever, while they do all the grinding. You get free experience. At least in power leveling, you COULD also hand grind your character, but if you're on mobs that are 11 levels higher than you (very likely) you wouldn't stand much of a chance getting off your horse.

Either way, you really didn't do anything to achieve your high level.

"legality" of it is not the issue.

i dont know if this was said but what do you think the honor point system is for. i think its for power leveling other players and you gain points doing it. please correct me if this isn't right

Well no, the guardian system is supposed to bring low levels and high levels together so the high levels can share their knowledge and help the new players to learn the game. To reward everyone involved, experience boosts and honor points are given out. If it was designed for power leveling, they wouldn't reduce the exp gained on mobs more than 11 levels higher than you. They'd allow lvl 80s to power level lvl 1's on niya royal guard...

I guess this is between euro char and the monster. Is it the same between chinese char and the monster?

You clearly don't get the idea of Euro / party play.

Right back at ya.

Thanks for the post; it was actually EXACTLY what I was looking for. I can't level by myself I've found since no party ever wants me or there's always some moocher that no one kicks becuase it's a friend.

I got to 16 by hand (exp. dist party) and then some random person guilded me and offered to power level me. I spent 3 days (probably about 18+ hours getting to 16). He took me from 16 to 24 in about 40 minutes (along with 4 other people). It was insane.

But, after reaching 20 I realized I didn't like the new nukes so I'm creating a new character with a different build.

So, at the very least, it's very useful for testing out builds.

Well, it's realy usefull if you want to help out your friends that are new to the game. Leveled one of my friends from 14 to 20 since her wish was to hit 20. ^^

Tho I got just ~0.05% while she gained 6 levels... lol :D

You need JUST 1 computer if you know how to do it, if you want to know it, use the search button, it's explained in a thread.

well somehow i don't get it

if i recall right when you kill a low level mob as a high level character you get like 1 exp point, divide that by 2 persons and you get 0.5 exp each (both the low level and the high level)

Or did this change with the new pt system? Haven't tried it yet so i don't really know :/

The party system changed.

To encourage people to grind in party.

It affects euro chars most.

soooo this means in a shared pt with a level 80 chinese and a level 20 euro, on level 31 mobs the chinese will get close to no exp and the euro will get half the exp he would get as if he was killing the level 31 mobs by himself? (only much much faster off course)

well I read some of the posts.

This happens a lot now... at least on my server. It's because of the gaurdian system, ppl want honor points so they PL their academy-members.
I do it for some ppl too.. but they are not afk.. they either stand clear.. or help me pull mobs if they are strong enough.
I agree it might not be the intention of the game.. but while it's possible and allowed why not use it.

But about the mob-char lvl gap.
I thought it was 9 lvl's though.. I tested it once.

this is what I found out:
players 9 lvl's below the mobs being killed are getting the most %.
or same thing diffrently said
mobs 9lvl's above the player being PL'ed gives the most exp.

and this is what I heard:
the mobs need to be no more then 11 lvl's above your lowest lvl player in the auto-share pt else everyone will get less exp.

Well maybe in about a year when I reach lvl 60 (only 12 levels away) I might try opening an academy of my own...

powerlevelling is not the wondersauce at it is claimed to be. only when you have more then 1 high level and grinding on a very good spawn point and with GT then you go fast. otherwise (1 player-1 getting pleveled) you go just a little bit faster exp then in a good shared pt

people wouldn't bot or find other ways to powerlevel if there was x500-600 XP SRO server.
if there was such everybody would have experienced the feeling when you reach 80 lvl and after a while will get bored.
HOWEVER those people would have realized that it's cooler and funnier to play on the normal server and will not use any other ways to powerlevel on the normal server.

1. not every1 got 2 computers.
2. ur high lvl chinese character will get 0 exp n maybe 1 sxp per kill, so u r grinding in a way so that ur 1 character is lvling up.
3. people r mostly doing this cuz os 15 sec pot delay.
4. dont flame the op, flame JM they implemented this party system.

if i was high enough level to power level peeps, i would also charge, unless they are friends or i'm in a nice mood, which i mostly am, unless i die, or get murdered, or............ stupid bots, or peeps KS me.

hmmmmmm, i could charge to level up peeps that are levels 1-15 i guess, that's possible, since i have a level 37, but leveling up is really fast at those levels.

You know what i also don't like, is peeps that you know that are online will pretend to be afk so that they can go power level with someone, but, not tell you about it so they get more exp, and your suppose to be my buddy, pfffff.

This became a rant, wooops. :D
