Well I've seen a lot of questions (what should I be? Why? Why? WHY!? :banghead: )

So I've come up with a simple questionair that will AID you in finding the right class for you.

Disclaimer- If you pick a class off my questionair and you hate it, it isn't my fault. Sometimes people think they'll like something and end up liking what they thought they'd hate.

So on to the guide-

Round 1-

Do you like hurting things? If yes, go to Round 2A

Do you like to help people? If yes, go to Round 2B

__________________________________________

Round 2A

Do you like to kill things and take the most damage? If yes, go to Round 3A

Do you like to stand back and kill things without taking much damage? If yes, go to Round 3B

_________________________________________

Round 2B

Do you like keeping your party alive and giving them the knowledge that they can kill without fear? If yes, you like to be Cleric.

Do you like making your party stronger, and keeping their mana up so there is no downtime between fights? If yes, you are a Bard.

________________________________________
Round 3A-

Do you like being able to take tons of damage so you can keep your party safe from harm? If yes, you are a Warrior.

Do you like to hit incredibly hard, and surprising people because they didn't even know where you were? If yes, you are a Rogue.

___________________________________________
Round 3B-

Do you like being able to hit incredibly hard, all at once, and be able to hit multiple enemies? If yes, you are a Wizard.

Do you like being able to do extrodinary damage, but would rather not do it all at once so you don't get your enemies attention? Do you like making your enemy easier to take down? If yes, you are a Warlock.
_______________________________________________

Classes in a nutshell-

Warriors- These guys don't hit very hard, but they can take tons of damage. They also protect their teamates with damage reduction buffs
Pure Strength-
Warriors are like a wall.

Rogue- These guys rival mages in damage. They can also use stealth, which lets you get the jump on your enemy and take them out before they know you're there.
Pure Strength-
Rogues are like landmines.

Wizard- These guys deal the top damage in the game. They are also very fragile. They can be invisible, hiding their presence until they know they can get off a finishing blow.
Pure intellegence.
Wizards are like wrecking balls.

Warlocks- These guys can really keep an enemy on his toes. They can make them slower, and weaker. They can also push out damage incredibly fast, keeping the enemies health from being full.
Pure intellegence.
Warlocks are like poisonous darts.

Clerics- These guys are the heart of a party. They keep their team alive by speaking to God and having Him bless their party and heal their injuries.
Pure intellegence/Hybrid
Clerics are like water.

Bard- These guys make their party faster, and stronger. They play music to speed up their team, and make them hit harder. They also regenerate mana.
Pure intellegence/Hybrid (maybe, unresearched)
Bards are like apples. (lol)

Note, this guide is still under construction. Need pics of a Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Cleric, and Bard in action.

If you have any suggestions, pics, corrections, or general improvements for this guide, PM me.

Please leave constructive critisism.

Feel free to post this guide anywhere you please, but if you do, remember to give credit to Bobby_Rock.

Typo, should be "Picking the Right Euro Class"

So I've started a new account just to say how useful this post is and vote, thank you.

It gets serious when determining who you will use because of the many hours you plan to invest into playing. Depending on your gaming style.

The Hercules server is chalk full of Wizards and you see people always asking for Clerics and Warriors.

I See you edited the title out, which always helps, but I actually meant Cass is supposed to be Class. Sorry :banghead:

I'm working on an image for it now, but find it increasingly difficult...

This guide is biased.

It makes clerics seem terrible and rogues seem awesome.

In reality, it's the other way around.

Maybe it's just because I'm in a lower level, but rogue's totally suck man.

Well for one thing it's not biased.

And rogues suck because yes, at low levels they hit like crap.
And rogues don't seem to do very much damage, but in reality, at level 20, they hit just as hard as mages.

A dagger rogue can get off two shots at level 27 in the time it takes a mage to shoot once.
The mage uses firebolt, and hits 1200
The rogue uses Screw and Wounds.
Screw = 600,
Wounds = 300 + 300. 1200

Plus, rogues have a good chance for critical.

The wording may seem a bit biased, but I'm not changing the wording of the rogue. I will change the wording of the Cleric, but not because it seems biased. They press more than one number 0.0

i see rogues as the middle between a warrior and a wizard, meaning- can tank a bit but still deal out good or sometimes great amounts of dmg. i dont totally agree with wat u wrote...

Maybe I wasn't specific enough. Usually, at level 27, I am in a group of similar level killing monster much higher than myself. I'm saying that if we're killing, let's say Ongs, a Wizard and I hit the same. You can't say anything about damage pre-20, because that is when wizards and rogues get their damage increase buffs. And if I recall, rogues get a 75% increase, while wizards get a 50% increase.

Well rogues AREN'T in the middle. Rogues using Desperate Dagger are pretty much the same as a mage, with the ability to take two more hits.

i meant without desperate daggers. basically rouges can be a decent tanker OR a great dmg dealer (with desperate daggers/extreme xbow). it just depends on the party u are in which option u should be

Bobby_Rock, not so sure where you figured that a ROGUE would deal in the same as a WIZARD in damage but, like eh... not even close.

Second, rogues are usually banned from my PT because their main xbow spell is ANNOYING as hell as it pushes monsters more and more and more and more until you find yourself right into more PT's. As far as trying to tank, we can forget about that, if I'm not there or the monster turns on the rogue, I must extend 35% damage absorption so to keep the god dam rogue alive. But no matter how you see it, a level 30 nuker will OUT damage a level 30 rogue by miles which kind of normal and kind of why they called him a NUKER.

While it may be true that a level 30 nuker can outdamage a crossbow rogue, said nuker can barely outdamage a dagger rogue of the same level.

As for banning rogues from your party because of their knockback. First, you should see if they're crossbow or dagger. Second, 2h warriors two main skills knockback AND knockdown, which is far more annoying in my opinion.

Rogues can easily tank. With desperate dagger, I can tank a party champion of my level with ease. Without it, my damage is cut in half, and the wizard, pulling tons more aggro compared to just a little more than me, draws the aggro.

And finally, back to the outdamaging things. Yes mages will outdamage a rogue BY A LITTLE. But once again.

Say mage can shoot one nuke per two attacks from a dagger rogues. ANY self respecting dagger rogue will be using daggers with a critical of 12 or more.

Said mage hits mob of same level for, let's say 1500 damage.
Rogue hits twice, once with screw, once with wounds for-
350, 350, 700. 1400 damage. And this isn't speculation either, that is what I truely hit compared to the mage of my party.
