 Post subject: EUROPEAN PARTY WTH DO I NEED??? PLEASE HELP

So here is my problem i want to set up an 8 man european party with my

friends, but we arent quite sure what we have to do?

So here some question we asked ourselves:

1.How many bards/clerics/tanker/nuker do we need?
2.How should we put the statpoints? (pur str for the tankers of course)
3.What classes do we need?

And a good strategy would help too.
I am grateful for all replies.:)

first priority is a tanker
2nd is a warlock or wizard
3rd is a cleric
now your party is complete, but its better to fill the rest with rogues, wizards and warlocks. a bard isnt really a nessesary fulltime class because almost everyone is half bard, so alsong as one person keeps lv1 moving march up it is ok

I'd say 2 warriors, 3 wizards, 1 warlock, 1 cleric and 1 bard.
Warriors for pulling and tanking, wizards as dmg dealers, warlocks to make monsters life even more miserable, cleric for hp and bard for mp.
Regarding the stat points, warriors are pure str, wizard, warlock, cleric and bard pure int.

IMO a cleric is more important than Warlock or Wizard. Much damage is useless if you die constantly or have to be careful not running into more than maybe 2 monsters. For LVL <20 maybe even 2 Clerics could be useful because Mass Heal cannot be skilled until LVL 20 so one Cleric might be overstrained. For LVL 20+ one Cleric is enough I think, however having two of them is advantageous if one dies. The other can res him then. I agree with criticalss that you should take as many Wizards, Warlocks and (not THAT important) Rogues with you as possible. But please be sure NOT to party without a Tank and a Cleric.

I would like to improve on criticalss's list.
First of all-
Cleric should be first priority.
Warrior should be second, although rogues can aggro and tank really well. They make a temporary subsitute.
Wizards should be third.
Fill the rest with whatever you can get.

A good party looks like-
2-3 Clerics, atleast one with Bard submastery.
Two tanks, preferably both dual axe. 1h and 2h warriors keep interupting spells and aggroing more mobs with knockback! :banghead:
One or two wizards, preferably one wizard and one warlock.
The rest is open for whatever you can get, preferably a rogue or another wizard.

Roles-

Warrior- Take all the damage, deal out a good bit.
Advice- Try to avoid knockdowns as much as possible, wizards will come to hate you for these.

Cleric- Heal heal heal! If you see a party members health drop even slightly, HEAL. Do not stop for anything aside from dying.
Advice- Keep your party buffed.

Wizard- Finish mobs quickly. These guys are DEFINENTLY some powerful beings.
Advice- Start out with your weakest, non aoe nuke (ice) and about halfway through just unload with your strongest nukes. Use Life Control only away from AOE mobs.

Warlocks- Debuff, and damage over time. Always open with your debuffs, then pull out some damage over time.

Rogues- Damage dealers, good tanks.
Advice- If you have to substitute for tanking, do NOT use desperate dagger/extreme crossbow. These will surely get you killed. :banghead:

Bard- Just keep mana replenishing, the chance you'll have a bard at all is slim, usually clerics will just invest some sp to get the speed buff.

hey, as a warlock, i save lives with stuns and sleeps!!!

But I say having a cleric is very important!! If it wasn't for me ressing them, my parties wouldnt last at all. But I find it difficult locating clerics.

I heard about a skill of bards where one is singing and the other dancing i think it increases dmg is that skill worth getting 2 bards? No worries i can easily get them. Apart from that how is one bard suppose to resplinish mana for more than 3 people? If there are 1 cleric and 3 nukers ?

You can find stats for the bard songs here (R3 and R7, the later one requiring another song to be played at the same time). Usually one bard is enough to keep everyone firing their skills constantly, so you'd have to see if the damage from the additional bard himself and the damage increase of the rest of the party outweights another nuker or warrior.

You cannot go wrong with a balanced party.
1-2 War for mob control
1 Cleric
1 Rogue (pulls and poison DOT)
1 Warlock (debuff and crowd control)
1-2 Bard (always helpful)
_ Wizards (crazy damage potential)

If you have 1 of each class, you can probably take on mobs 10 lvl above you. Wizards can dish out a lot of damage, but they need that front line to remain strong. The bard may have trouble keeping up with everyone's mp use, so you may want 2 so you will be without down time.

My favorite build

1 Warrior(tanker, pref sword and shield)
1 Rogue
3 Wizards
2 Clerics
1 Bard

-Optional switch out a wizard for a warlock if your facing mobs that take >5 seconds to kill.

Easy. I had to teach this to a few people actually. Use MP buff on yourself, and start buffing down your party list as necessary. Keep restoring the MP buff on yourself every time it runs out.

i like 1 warrior (1h), 2 bard/cleric, 1 rogue (xbow/dagger), 1 wizard/warlock,1 cleric/wizard, 2 full time wizards


cleric/wizard acts as main cleric and heals and buff (str/def buffs on warriors, int buff on wizards)

2 bards will will run 2 tambours and a dance (and ressing/acting as support clerics if too many mobs and just for having bless up all the time, also cast discord wave when needed and just attack using bard nukes or fill mp

wizards use earth barrier when they can and just nuke
wizard with warlock won't use warlock unless on pt giant

warrior tanks and put aggro reduce buff on wizards

rogue draws mobs to warrior and use dagger to finish things heading to int chars

if 2 clerics are needed have the 2 bard/clerics become main clerics and the cleric/wizard act as 4th wizard

well 1 cleric is not good enough imo for a 8 man especially if they end up dyin. so personally i prefer 2 clerics, and 2 bards for the buffs plus it has been mentioned they have high dps since they insta cast spells. leaving us with 4 more any combination of warriors, wizards, rogues will do. rogeus are good for dpsin especialyl since the warrior can hold agro, plus if they switch to xbow they can easily pull mobs over so you dont need to run into them which saves time. i do find warlock useful but since so few peopel play them im leaving it out of this

imo and due to my experience that you dont need bard couse for dancing you sacrifice 1 bard and 1 wizard is more then %20(or %30 whatever) ultimate pt is ;
2 warrior with taunts (and protect, pain quota, physical fence,and magical fence)
1 cleric with maxed skills for his/her lvl (if lower than 20 2 cleric should be better)
1 warlock to make it easier to kill pt,champ. pt, giant pt mobs (i made a pt with lvl78 warlock and we were killing really tooo fast and we were without warrior :shock: )
4 wizards, by this way if all pt members attacks warriors mobs then it will be really fast killing and lvling i suggest that pt ;) (take lots of mp potions :D )

What I've seen to be an effective party is;
2 warriors
3 wizards
1 cleric
2 bards

That 36% defense abosrobtion, 26% attack rating increase and 26% magical damage increase is VERY nice for wizards.

Alternatively;

2 warriors
3 wizards
1 cleric
1 bard
1 warlock/rogue

I'm still iffy on rogues, most are stupid but some are smart and can do good mob luring. As for warlocks, well... need I say more? XD Mad damage.

What you need are good gamer!
You can have a pretty nice party with a rogue, a bard and a chinese nuker or w/e.

The players have to know their rules and what to do in what situation.

You can choose the character as you wish but u need to have :

- Tanker
- Damage Dealer (Best 2)
- Healer / Buffer (Best 2)
- Puller (not needed, but it is good)

The topic asked for a good EUROPEAN party layout. Last I checked, Chinese sucked in parties because they don't have party buffs, AoE nukes or the ability to control aggro. GG.

2 warriors (better if both 1h/cleric for group res just in case) for tanking
1 cleric for healing
2 bards for buffs (dmg buffs need another bard doing def buffs)
1 xbow for luring (30m+ range for long shot)
2 wizard or warlock for dmg

the best party combo i can think of
