So, im working on a video. =)

Right now in raw AVI, its several hundred megs.

When I compress it down, its about 30.

But it doesnt work on the net. I picked Indeo codec with mpeg sound.

MPEG video codec is HUGE

DivX isnt working on everyones computers

The indeo codec looks really clear, but when you EMBED or click it, it wont load over the net. You have to right click ---> save target as

I uploaded it on youtube, works well, DESTROYED quality

Any experience with this? I can't seem to win

I've expoerted it about 50 times but its either A) HUGE or B) Shitty quality or C) Doesnt work right

=/

can't help on the codec thingy, it's an either or situation, they all have downsides it seems.

as for youtube, they destroy quality on everything, see a lotta people using stage6 lately, parently betetr quality, tried that?

if you convert the video into an FLV yourself you will get much better results, but you would also need to locate a player/template to play it in and embed it after hosting.

Encode it as a Generic Avi and upload it to Stage 6 Ryoko... You can use DivX for youtube, but always, the quality gets lost, that is just a byproduct of youtube. Stage 6 has no size limit, so for high quality vids, that is the way to go.

Anyone will be able to see it, doesnt matter what it is tho Stage 6 DOES make you download their latest version of player and codec, as well as a plugin when you go there. I go there often enough to do it, some people wont.

I found that only the highest quality video settings in game make for good compression on youtube, that was just trial and error (lots of error).

Agreed :) stage 6 is very neat i'd save it as an .mpeg though. So either MPEG 1 or 2, pick the one that works best.

Doesnt matter as far as Stage 6 is concerned. They have no size or duration limit.

I don't know if you trust me enough, but if you want you could upload your video to a site like filefront.com. PM me the link. And I could do it for you.
