Alright, so as I am playing, my game laggs, then the screen goes balck, and the only thing I can do to turn of the computer is pull out the plug., which I am assuming is bad...
so..in number form..
1. Sign on
2. Playing game
3. Game laggs
4. Screen goes black and I can do NOTHING.
5. I pull plug..
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Let me guess. ATI Radeon 9x00 series? I used to have that problem too (it would flicker black and go back to normal. A few minutes later it would happen again. Then on the third time it would go completely black and if i shutdown the game and try to start any 3d application, i get the "nothing will be rendered" error). I think it's a problem with the card itself, not the drivers or anything else in your system. However, if you're using another type of graphic card, you might simply need to update the drivers. What graphic card do you have?

As he/she said, update your drivers first. Also DirectX 9.0C.
