the 4 person partys give a xp boost , about 15 % IIRC the 8 person partys only give a xp boost when you are in the same area and everyone is killing.
This is what I thought , it can be wrong

Experience Distribution gives an extra 3% for each additional party member, so, a full party of 4 will yield an additional 9% experience/skill xp per kill.

I don't not know what the bonuses are for a auto share xp party

how the distribution one works is 3% extra exp for each additional member of the party like shummie mentioned.
the other type of party is i believe 5% extra exp for each additionaly member but its a little more complicated.
lets say there are 2 people total in the expshare party. and im killing a monster that gives 200 exp. so thats 5% extra exp because its only one extra member, 210 exp per kill. but since its an exp share party, it gets split into each member of the party. each getting 105 exp.
so in the end, the exp share gives more exp, that is if everyone is killing at the same rate and are at the same area.

it sonuds like XP distribut is the way to go but what about the items-i am not sure what either option does-do your items get shared around the party?Like i said after losing 1-2mil wworth of sos bow i am very wary of this aspect of parties-but i dont want to miss out on anything that is going to be a benefit to me.

well there are 4 types of parties if im not mistaken

1.exp distribute, item distribute
2.exp distribute, item share
3.exp share, item distribute
4.exp share, item share

item distribute: your item and cannot be looted by others for a limited amount of time.
item share: items will be shared accordingly to the parties i think in the area.

exp and item distribute party will give u 10% exp boost from what i been reading.
