I was grinding over at the Devil/Demon horses (full of bots for some reason), and I see the bots being dealth with 80-90 damage when attacked by a horse, but 300-ish when attacked by Gun Powder. It didn't make any sense at first since Gun Powders and the Horses were around the same level. They were all wearing armor (lol) so then I guessed the Gun Powders attacked with Magic.

To test it out, I went there with a shield and Frost Gaurd. They did about 120-ish damage to me in Garments.
Did the same thing except with Fire Protection and Bloody Fan Storm, they did about 10's.

Just thought I'd share this little bit of info, and wondering if there's another other monsters that are like them (appear to do physical damage, but instead do magical)? I heard the Bandits attacked with Fire Force but I didnt bother to test that out.

One more thing while we're talking about Gun Powder, what does Darkness status do? I compared my stats before and after but it didn't change anything. It also sets off my uni. pills but they dont even seem to make it go away.

well yea gun powders do magic attack. i always kinda knew that since they attack with a bomb (explosive) instead of a coldsteel weapon or claw or whatever. i don't know about other monsters that appear to do phy attack but actually do mag attack, but those earth magicians and taoists are a pain in the ass for pure str even in garment.

as for bandits, they do a fire attack occasionally but still attack with their blade (i think it's more like the imbue).

darkness status... i asked that here just a few days ago. they decrease the effect of mp pots by half i think. and the universal pill has a bug so they don't cure darkness.

yeah, the gun poowder is magical attack. Ita bit obvious because of the explosion thing.

yea, that's why ravine is such a bad place. there are magicians/taoists that gives u burn frequently and there are the gun powders that give u darkness. if u turn on autopot for pills u'll be wasting a lot whenever u get darkness but if u don't it's annoy cure manually every time u get the burn.

but yea, a lot of different mobs attack with magic. just go run around everywhere and you will see.

try finding the spot without gunpowders.
