 Post subject: GG error

My bad if its posted already but I couldnt find it tho (and dont tell me to use search :) ). I get this error when I try to start SRO

I tried to reboot my pc -> didnt work
uninstall and reinstall didnt work either so I havent played sro for 3 days now =( Any idea's are appreciated =)

when you say uninstall

did you mean GG or sro?
if not go delete all your GG files then start sro to update
it happened to me once and it worked...hope it works for you if that is the problem

I ment (sp lol) uninstalling sro and then reinstall it..I will try it =)

Dunno if I did it the right way but I removed GG then uninstalled sro and reinstalled it lol but GG didnt come back lol.

Now I just removed the whole folder and downloading the client again. Hope this works =(

Didnt work either :cry: anyone else that got an idea? (thx Zypher for the idea, to bad it didnt work).

Does no one know what a registry key is. You'll need to remove GG and SRO from the registry.

thats as far as i can help you
i suppose you could delete joymax info from there

but if you try that
make sure you save it incase you flark up somewhere

Instead of playin around wit Registry.... its always safe 2 reinstall ur OS (Windows XP / 2K / ME / 9x).. tatz faster and easier :P

but dont forget 2 back up ur data :wink:

I too was getting the same error code,so i unistalled the game completely.Upon re-installing it i receive a msg saying "The server is in examination or out of working time.Connect http://www.silkroad.co.kr to see more information".

So i try to visit it but my browser conveniantly cannot find it lol, just my luck.

So...the darn thing wont update at all and im stuck with the 1.006 version , which obviously i cannot play lol, any ideas would be appreciated.

Oh and btw i really really dont wanna have to re-install windows again :banghead: .

Well he couldnt find that from Zypher but I got my GG folder back and made a copy this time ;) ...trying again. Man I wanna play =(

Modify HOSTS:
Open HOSTS File with notepad (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)
Delete everything and change it to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.co.kr
64.152.34.142 joymaxnpro.nefficient.com

Then:
XP SP1:
1. In Control Panel, double-click Networking and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
2. Right-click the connection on which you want to disable ICF, and then click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Protect my computer or network check box.

XP SP2:
1. Click Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the General tab, click "Off (not recommended)", and then click OK.
