I thought the same way when I was 16.
I realised a while ago that how I thought at 16 wasn't that great.
Sorry, but it stands that the guy that I quoted has no clue WTF he's talking about.

I actually have been a GM for about 4 years in the 90s, and I know what a time consuming thankless job it can be. Looking at the changes in the past month I actually think they have made some great progress on the botter and CCF part. The weakness in their security that caused me to get hacked, and which I described to them in detail in an email has actually been fixed within 2 weeks. Very good! Still, there's a couple of tips I'd like to give them:
1. Focus on one task at a time. There's nothing so destructive to your work as hopping from one task to another. You'll start making mistakes, and end up spending much more time on the work. The same actually goes for working so many hours: the mistakes you make will actually make you less productive than when you work normal hours and work them focused.
2. Take your customers serious! Fixing things early takes up a lot less time and stress than having to fix them when things have gone seriously wrong. Some of the issues currently causing great problems have been reported months ago, but were ignored or in some cases even denied. When people report vulnerabilities: check them before they cause you grief; it will save you a lot of time, and a lot of complaints as well.
3. Help your customers! If someone gets hacked despite following all your rules and guidelines, return their account to them asap. It takes a lot less time than not doing it, and it gives your customers the feeling that you care for them. When someone gets hacked and you do nothing, it's not just the victim that feels ignored: it's every friend he/she has in the game!
4. Communicate! People are willing to forgive a lot of problems if you just let them know what's going on. If you ignore your customers (like simply ignore their emails/reports for months or for ever), they'll think you don't care, and no matter of explaining afterwards will convince them otherwise.
5. Use your community. There are many mature fans playing that would gladly donate their time for free to help out. Things like forum moderation could easily be done by them. Take some people you can trust, and they can help report botters, CCFers, racists, etc. There are many experienced forum administrators, web administrators, and programmers out there, who would gladly help you fix your security issues.
Hope this helps. I also hope someone at JM will finally reply to the 12 emails and 3 bugreports I sent about being hacked. They fixed the hole, so I think at least some of them were read...

Ladyasiana is just an in-game char under the morningdew acct. Yes, morningdew is shared. You can see that she replied to herself in the official forum. It's within the 1st 5 replies, i think.
Unless this chick is schizophrenic. o_O

*Is waiting for it to appear in your sig.*
It's true...
Not that I'm saying they should treat us like shit; but the way in which most of us just demand things left and right, as if they OWE us their support, time, and hard work is ridiculous.
Maybe the regular silk-buyers should be entitled to quick, 100% satisfaction customer service...but what do the majority of us do to give them incentive to spend time and money on us? Nothing but bitch and moan and talk shit.
And yet they still provide any customer service AT ALL!

i appreciate any work done by joymax the game is still free and it is your own choice to choose if you want to buy silk or not
no one forces you to play and or buy silk, that is why i always ask myself why would people bot,ccf or hack accounts? especially when this just creates more work on the game they love.
I respect all work done by Morningdew she is one of the few who actually changed the forums and how Joymax works in common.
before her work especially on the forums (by actually responding as a joymax employee) was enough for me to buy silk playing this game a couple months now and only since a month i got my first silk just because i hated the people i was surrounded by. grinded weeks on penons/warriors surrounded by bots, after many reports i gave up the hope and actually stopped reporting those bots.
First couple bot blocklist they missed the bots surrounding me but now i am botfree or only some hardcore isrobot users who actually babysit cant stop those till joymax just kicks out gameguard as their security.
They get more work due to the people they hired (the bad translation in the begin and gameguard way of blocking)
Joymax working style is non European and that might have cause the much whines/flames towards them i can`t read korean or i would like to know how the other sro community are i wonder if they are the same as isro something i really don`t think is the same or probably caused by western players of those versions.
It is just our way of thinking and acting that messes up this great game, we rather whine/flame than actually trying to help.
and to answer some of your questions here is morningdew answer
Quote: Joymax employees in the US office share the ID Spartamorningdew . There is no [GM] designation in front of our nicknames. We will never post on the forums with our [GM] IDs, unless we post an official announcement or notice introducing our [GM] IDs to the community.
Because of the temporary forums that are running, we are having some problems with people who create false [GM] IDs. These people will be punished once we complete the account and IP traces for each offender. There is an announcement posted on the top of the page, please refer to the announcement.
And yes, I do play on Sparta, but not with the morningdew ID. I play on all servers with a different character.

read it a while ago.
morningdew is indeed a real Joymax head person, Mary Min. She used to have the title "Forum Admin" under her name and keeps the official forums cleaner than these sadly enough. morningdew is tight I sympathize 110% with her..... however...

+1..
It's said too see how people continue they're bitching even when There's visable movement at Joymax's side.
C'mon people, turn the brain switch on, Rome wasn't built in one day either. (and dont gimme crap about how long Joymax has been working on this, irrelivant).

Step one. Stop rolling out new servers, it just spreads the work load.
Step two. Work on current problems one by one, and not all at once, or just give each person a separate task.
Those 2 suggestions alone I bet would help quite a bit.
