Hi, I joined up with Silkroad a few days ago, and I think it's a great game. There's just some things I'm confused about.

1) What is so good about getting a Seal of Star weapon/equip? They're always on sale in peoples' shops but they look expensive.

2) Is farming SP points really a good idea? I read some guides, and I have some average equips. So far, I have saved up around 800 SP points with a 7 level gap, currently level 15. People say that you need 20,000 of them to be successful, and that sounds a bit daunting, and they also say that you "need" a SOS weapon. Are newbies expected to have them?

3) Where is the "bandit den" that people say is so good for farming? Is it outside of the stronghold, on tiger mountain, or is it inside? (I didn't see any archer bandits inside the stronghold, and there's bandits everywhere)

4) What is a good way to allocate skill points, when the time comes? I really want to join my friends in killing strong monsters (they are 2x), but SP farming takes a lot of time, and I only have a few skills like anti-devil, arrow combo, and level 1 fire imbue. Do people simply save their skill points for a really long time, without using them? And, how many points is it going to take to learn a skill book?

5) Which buffs are worth learning? My friend has buffs like resurrection, grasswalk, flame body, ice shield, and some lightning buffs (mostly level 1); do they help much?

It would be nice if you could answer a question or two, thanks :O

First of all, they make your weapnon look shiny. That alone makes you better than everyone else. lol *end sarcasm*.

Seal of star is like having an automatic +5 on your weapon, thus rendering it, as-good-of stats as a weapon that is 5 lvls higher. lvl 16 sos bow is like wielding a lvl 21 bow, if such a thing existed. The reason sos is great, is cuz lets say you have sos+3/ Thats the same as having a 24 bow (stat-wise). It's alot easier to +3 a weapon than it is to +8 one.
It is only necessary to have such a weapon if you are farming an exorbitant amount of sp at the den. Like my friend who spent like months farming sp at that den, he got around 100k sp there. The reason it would be necessary then is becuase 1-hitting an archer without an imbue is alot better than 2 or 3 hitting one, even with imbue/skill. But yeah.. just my thoughts on it.

2) Is farming SP points really a good idea? I read some guides, and I have some average equips. So far, I have saved up around 800 SP points with a 7 level gap, currently level 15. You have to farm eventually, lvl 16 is a good time to do it. If you have an amazing tolerance for boring grinding. But yeah..I figured I would sp farm later on, so I could be high enoguh level to sitll do activities with my guild and whatnot...But yeah. It's all a matter of opinion man. Farming a little bit, like 2 or 3 thousand at lvl 16 will make it slightly easier later on. and will make leveling a little easier too. Just do what you want lol.

3) Where is the "bandit den" that people say is so good for farming? Is it outside of the stronghold, on tiger mountain, or is it inside? (I didn't see any archer bandits inside the stronghold, and there's bandits everywhere)

Its the Bijeokdan bandit den. Just walk in, its the big main building in the middle. you cant miss it. You go up the ramps and walk around till you see bandit archers. you dont want bandits, they take awhile to kill (unless your bow is godly.)

4) What is a good way to allocate skill points, when the time comes? I really want to join my friends in killing strong monsters (they are 2x), but SP farming takes a lot of time, and I only have a few skills like anti-devil, arrow combo, and level 1 fire imbue. when youre farming sp at lvl 16 you can farm 1k. or 100k. it's all up to you. Don't worry if it takes awhile because you're friends will have to farm sp sometime. when they are farming you will catch up. and besides there is a level cap. and all of you will be at it someday. so just dont worry.

5) Which buffs are worth learning? My friend has buffs like resurrection, grasswalk, flame body, ice shield, and some lightning buffs (mostly level 1); do they help much?

Your friend is going to have to farm an insane amount of sp to max 5 trees. But yeah anyway...If you want to be a healer (dont do it imo) get froce. if you wanna pwn ass get light/fire and ice, but it will take alot of farming. Just do what you want man its a game lol.

Thank you sena, and a level 21 bow does exist because I bought one from a store :O And my friends started playing a month ago too; they haven't read any formal guides on what SP farming is, and call me crazy for not spending my 800 SP points >_>

later on when you will need 500SP to get 1 skill, your friends will be grinding for days and hours to save that SP and eventually get that skill.

you on the other hand because you saved your SP, you will have that skill immediatly and will only have to worry about advancing lvl. whereas your friends will have to worry about advancing lvl and advancing their skills.

by the way, if you think that 800SP is a big deal. show this to your friends. and im still farming till i get about 200k sp, you will need around that much if you want to go lvl 80 and have all the skills you want.

Smexy weapon you got there >_>
I left Pacheon mastery at level 7 so that when I got to level 16, I would have a 9 level gap. And I'll try farming at the bandit archers, though it might be crowded there.

Another question: what skills should be raised first? So far, I have a level 2 Anti-Devil bow missile, 1 arrow combo, and 1 fire imbue. Is it a good idea to raise them all equally, or are some more important than others?
