You guys know that on the jade stones it says that if an identical attribute exists on the item, its value gets reset. I wanted to increase the 1 str i have on my chestpiece, and after using a stone the alchemy failed instead of reseting the str value. Now as far as I can understand from the description the alchemy isn't supposed to fail if you already have the attribute you're trying to add. Or am I wrong?
Most of the time stones do fail as stated above
Jade stones work more than ruby stones
The part you read and probably misunderstood is that if a said value already exists, most jade stones have a 30% assimilation chance meaning that they can change ANY VALUE on an item (except sos/m/un)
Critical
Magical Attk/Defense
Phys Attk/Defense
Phys/Mag Reinforce
Critical
Parry Ratio
Basically any white/blue attribue can be changed by assimilation.
Once you have one jade tablet (lets say int) that works on an item, you should proceed with trying to change that value with extreme caution.
Seeing your crit go from 10----1 (It's a high offchance, but it still happens) would make most people ragequit/cry/impale themselves with a blunt object
