					| Is it just me?
If SRO is running, I can't start a fresh instance of Firefox, IE, or even Opera. Only time these browsers run is when I have them pre-opened before I launch SRO or after I quit SRO. Also, if I try to quit Firefox during gameplay, I get an invalid memory access error.
The only browser (that I've tried) and launches at all is Kmeleon.
I'm thinking this might be an issue with nProtect?? Is anyone else having this problem?
My system specs: XP sp2, IE 7 beta, Firefox 1.5, nforce3 board, radeon 9800pro. all latest drivers and patches._________________

					| yea...i'm a sys admin so i've got the latest patches...so it's really wierd why this is happening.
it only happened after the public build of SRO a few weeks ago. it's very well possible that there's something else on my system causing this - i just don't know what yet.

thnx for the advice though. to other ppl who don't keep their pcs patched, please patche 'em.

					| I can open my IE as well. Sometimes it takes a little longer to load but it does load. You mentioned memory error. It could be insufficient memory as well. _________________

					| I have a gig of ram and windows shows max usage of 800mb. w/ virtual mem i don't think memory is the problem.
however here's the screenie of the firefox error. i'm assuming this memory is blocked due to nProtect's system restrictions?
Again this error ONLY happens if I launch Firefox first, then launch SRO, then quit Firefox.
Otherwise I can't start firefox once SRO started._________________

					| Gimme a moment as I look that up.
I am no expert or a tech junkie here. The memory problem here is clear and specific. The memory addresses are pointing to where the conflict lies. As far as it goes, it will certain help if you tweaked around with the Options settings, though I cannot possibly tell you where and what to tweak around with. If it was due to nProtect, all of us would encounter the same error as well. Try tweaking around with your system settings or even the browser settings.

And no, when I say tweak around, I don't mean you go download some programme that "optimizes" or really tweak that browser. Try changing the settings on the browsers or on your system, it may prove to help.

					| This will sound very basic, but have you tried reinstalling firefox (or whatever browser you usually use) and/or silkroad? Give it a shot... you never know._________________
