Has anyone noticed how this is all in Chinese?! Joymax is a Korean company. I also noticed that this "sronew.com" is registered to some chinese dude. website whois.
The fact that they've made it named Silkroad Kingdom tells me that another company has duplicated the game based on the "Silkroad".

It is true that this game will not be run by Joymax. It is not that they have just duplicated the game, though. They have surely worked with Joymax and gotten to an agreement that they would somehow be the publishers of the game instead of Joymax publishing it themselves.
Of course we don't know all the details about the agreement, though.
^But this is only the Chinese version and AFAIK CSRO1 wasn't run by Joymax either.
That's true, but there are some things that point towards that it might be this new company that will run the international version of Silkroad 2 as well (instead of Joymax). For example, on their old home-page (the old one of Silkroad 2), it stated something about their internationalization strategy.
Despite being completely ruined eventually, Sro was a good game(could of done without sp farming tho). Sro2 is something I look forward to trying. I just hope it is nice and simple, and about gameplay like Sro first was.
Those are the dreams and hopes of all of us. I think literally everybody loves the triangular conflict (even though it wasn't worth your time on iSRO), and I hope it returns.
Whoever is gonna make a worthy successor of SRO (let's not hope it's this unless their particles get a major overhaul) needs to make EME the publisher. Single best publisher for chinese grindfest games out there right now. What they've done with TERA is really, really good (compared to the base product they were given).
Joymax's attempt with SRO-R was a rather pitiful one, not really fixing the botting problem by preventing it or removing the need to.
Basically, I just gathered a whole bunch of information for you folks and everyone else. No matter how dedicated you are, you can now simply just follow the blog and I'll be sure to post updates regarding guides, news, gameplay videos etc.

I'd be fine with the graphics being the same if they fixed the worst of the games problems. Obviously the rampant botting, the p2w being so heavy, and the sp farming. If they fixed those things I think the game has a chance but Sro1 they never gave a legit a chance due to how quickly they bumped up the level cap versus how long it took to get there. That trailer really put a fire under my ass to get a new laptop. It feels like seeing Sro for the first time again.
Also I think if there are going to be multiple races they need to implement them from the beginning or by the first major update. When they put euros into the game all the chins had to reroll as euros to be a part of parties and that killed a huge part of the game and quite a few people left simply because getting back to a higher level would take to long.
Why can't I register on the forums? It just refreshes it and gives me a new captcha.
Human pets is retarded though. And that character creation looks kinda stupid, I hope they change the layout and add more variety. I was also hoping for a proper character creation where you can modify the face too. But the class thing looks kinda interesting (even though I don't approve of classes). I think I just have to take this game as an entirely new game or a spin-off. There's just too much that's changed to take it as a proper sequel. Though it's weird the chinese version is named Silkroad Kingdoms 2 as the first one was still Silkroad Online. But the chinese text in the logo is still the same so that's interesting.
Not yet! I'll make sure to keep ya'll posted on the blog whenever words comes out regarding open beta, though! I've got a lot of contacts on Skype, all trying to figure out how this game works (kinda tough seeing as it's all Chinese).
