I just logged in this server checking it for like 1 hr or so, it seems like they don't have 0% stones of even 5% stones, that explains why u get only 10/20/30% chance getting attribute assimilation, try using 10% when your item is close to perfect stats. I this this is the best alchemy out there preventing people making perfect stats, hence even perfect blue, more challenging this way, you need to gamble a lot to have perfect stats, too bad I don't really have the time to play SRO anymore, this server would have been good.

Also like he said.. it is way bot infested and most people are afk all the time.. fail server...waste of time and money That happens when the server will assimilate 2 stats at the same time and unfortunately we cannot fix it without the source code since its files related (we're using vsro not isro files) About bot infested , we've set up ip limit from the beginning and we're always on the hunt for mulitple chars botters. In the future we'll focus more on providing players a way to get elixirs and such without the need to grind so active people can get those not only from other players for gold (as it was inteded at first , active players do trades etc , get richer than afk people 24/7). As for the afk people , thats how silkroad community is atm , everyone asking for longterm oldschool-like servers with decent rates , but when we deliver alot cry about alchemy rates and the game itself beeing too hard. The only ones to blame for that is the community itself , the server managers that farked up everything with altering alchemy rates and how endgame works , players that got their minds brainwashed by the endless series of servers with highrates and pointless edits etc.

Also doesn't help that a few times a day the entire/75% of the server crashes for no reason.

well if you're playing pservers these days, its 5% legit vs 80% botters vs 15% botgits 'botters pretending to be legit' so unless you have literally the whole core of relentless and the ecsro/srf guys or some miracle avalon movement with fly/nb actually playing, then chances are you will likely see everyone playing together lol.
are there no servers with a no botting rule these days?

^I don't really care. I wouldn't bot, but I don't mind having botters on a server in play on, as long as they don't have advantage because of botting. If botters are allowed to play, that means more people for the server, and that means more donation and server can stay alive longer.

I would like to add, we are actively blocking bots, having a no-botting rule is quite pointless on its own, as it's quite difficult to prove whether people are botting or not, and it will only result in unwanted drama (omg me bannýd, me leve srver). Also, there -will- be people who never will get caught botting, so in my opinion blocking it is way more effective than having a simple "botters will be banned" rule.

That is pretty damn good. just outright make bots not work on the server. Find some way to slightly "Reward" those who are grinding (you know that positive reinforcement thing hhh) like maybe a random unique spawn in a random place on the map that drops tons of reverse scrolls, korean flags (the ones that dont give stats), or those 1mil theif suit things. just a little something that wont unbalance things, but just to give a little "hey good job guys" for grinding. Yeah us on here wont need it, but there will definately be people new to the whole not botting thing, and if done right, would make grinding fun for them.
I'd also suggest that when you advertise, you don't even discuss bots. Since they will be a non issue (as they dont work) just dont mention them you got to bring people to the server, so draw them with honey. If the word Bot even shows up, just don't answer that question. don't even discuss it. as long as your features get people logging in that should be enough, as you want people to be drawn in and kept by how awesome the server is.
You gotta be positive to do that. Play up the strengths of the server and never mention the"B" word and you should be fine, and maybe even be able to convert botters to play legitly.
This is why I think that "punishing" botters doesn't really work in the long run, better to just have the bots not work, and make the game fun enough that "bot" doesn't even pop into their heads.
. . .kinda like the guild wars series when it first came out.

It worked like a charm on Salvation, but that's because 99% of the community was consisted of legits, and, as soon as someone's seen botting, they would be banned in less than 24 hours.

Also, there -will- be people who never will get caught botting, so in my opinion blocking it is way more effective than having a simple "botters will be banned" rule. It worked like a charm on Salvation, So much that fly had to close half of the game map off because of the low population. We're just saying it's MORE effective to not even have bots be an issue, AND let more people play the game, remember, having our own little "elite" club (Salvation) isn't that great for a long term health of the server (something I've been saying for years, and was proven right with Salvation's demise) You've GOT to make bridges with the "other side" and you do this by not having bots be an issue, and REWARD those that play legitly instead of PUNISHING potential customers. As many people above said, the legit population is dwindling, and its mostly due to a)Joymax prioritizing virtual skinner boxes over gameplay(i.e. all of sro lmao) and b)constantly "fighting" against people who bot. Why not just. . .lead by example, and INVITE them to join us, by showing them how fun a server can be without the need for botting?Wouldn't that be a more useful approach? you know, instead of just instabanning a whole reigion of potential customers 9,000 miles away, then having to make silly changes because no one joins the server besides our "elite" club of people. It's obvious what we've been doing isn't working (or else we'd be still on salvation and enjoy the WHOLE map of the game filled with people playing). and a different approach needs to be used. I don't really know how you can argue that making the server not need bots is worse than, going all power trip mode and banning potential customers, especially seeing what we've seen. . .You're probably just stuck in that "all botters are evil and must be punished/can't join our elite club" mode which is fine. . .but I'm giving you some alternatives that are better than that. . .it's really up to you if you wanna just let all that other stuff go or not. There's a quote I'm thinking of that had something to do with Honey and Vinegar that would be apropos here. . .I can't think of it though. . .can someone help me? P.S. I brought about 20+ people to Salvation with me that I met on another server that actually did a lot better than any other server I had been to in regards to rewarding players who do not bot but play the game, and let the botters "think" they are getting the upper hand but aren't. . .(they gave REALLY good rewards for jobbing, and basically you were able to snowball that into more and more goodies. . .botters cant compete with that because jobbing takes organization that happens during the grinding phase of the game)that server died because of other reasons (GM's brother was jealous of all the money he was making and logged in the server and messed everything up beyond repair) so I brought them to salvation which started a bit after all that went down. . .they were legit, did not use bots, were not from srf/venus either, they just enjoyed playing the game. THEY ALL LEFT once fly shortened the map, and screwed with the jobbing there. It just wasn't worth it to them (they couldn't organize huge trade runs from jg to const since half the map was gone) . . .some trader enjoy actually trading. .without getting caught by theives. THIS ONLY happens through TIGHT organization, just ask colossal and some of the SD guys when they did their first trading run on salvation. . .they failed miserably some of the guys I brought with me were there with them and were facepalming to me about how a lot of you guys really sucked at trading and didn't want anything to do with you guys lmao. When fly messed with that by closing the map because of the low population it was like a slap in the face for all the guys who actually kind of took it seriously. . .and they ALL LEFT. This is something you don't want to happen, as you can learn from people like these. When you take a hard stance against stuff instead of trying to convert people to your side using positive methods, your server loses out on a LOT of a potentially awesome, growing, thriving community. Salvation had a chance and it blew it. . .they just took the wrong approach. Which is why I think Attibu has learned from that and is taking a different approach. . .finally.

^I know that not having bots on server is bad, since your income will be lower and server will close sooner.
And yeah, I assume there were some botters that never got caught.

Well of course a few will sneak through the cracks. But all in all, I think we did a pretty damn good job of banning about 95% of the botters.
