Those most important things in a child's upbringing: stability and love. Gender has nothing to do with it, and there is simply no evidence to the contrary. There is no real, scientific evidence against gay parenting.
So... if one parent from a hetero couple died, should we remove those children and give them to a proper hetero couple since they aren't getting the appropriate "male and female" influence? Yeah, I think not.
