First and foremost, i'm not trying to turn this into misc.
I know some of the people here on the forums "lift" and I was wondering what type and brand of accessories do you guys use, or not use. This can be anything from belts or straps etc. (Going to try to stay away from controversial supplements cause that can cause heated debates) Feel free to give recommendations etc.
I'll start.
1. Belt -
Inzer Forever lever belt - 10mm
I've owned one of these for a few months, and i've got to say its very sturdy and supportive for anything you need it for. You can adjust the lever to fit around your body; so say if you put on some weight, than you can adjust the lever by unscrewing and its a pretty easy thing to do. The lever is a convenient for when you are about to end a set or start one. I throw mine around and theres no visible damage to the belt or lever. I use the belt for mainly for squats and deadlifting.
2. Wrist Wraps -
Schiek Wrist Wraps
I had a pair of these until I lost them. They gave the support for the wrist and did the job. I got these after I tore some ligaments in my wrist, but I currently dont have a pair of wrist wraps.
3. Lifting straps -
I have a pair of generic harbringer ones, and I dont really use it. I was sent two of the same side straps, so that didn't really help me out too much.
4. Knee Sleeves -
I bought the Rehband 7051 sleeves today, so when they come in i'll give them a try. My knees are not like they were in the past, and figured I would invest in these.
The rehbands and inzer belt are a pretty hefty investment, but I believe that the quality of the product will be worth it and outlast any of the generic brand stuff; which is why I bought them. I use all these products for support, not to try to just pack on as much weight on the bar as I can.
I thought about the Nike Romelos 2 squat shoes, but im not ready to dish out 200$ for those, as im okay with my flat shoes like vans for now.
I'm curious about Versa Grips if anyone has an opinion on those.
