"some banking rules", that is just saying that they get special treatment whether its good or bad, its still different. If muslims want to section their money to give part of it to their religion for whatever reason then that is fine and they can do so as they wish, this can be done in a normal bank account and doesnt need any special rules or regulations to do so, if you break the rules of your religion because it CAN be done, it makes you a bad follower of the faith and not a problem the bank has caused. Sectioning themselves just makes it easier for everyone else to segregate them from a community. Black people had to sit at the back of the bus, its not that the back of the bus was particularly any better or worse in some cases but it was that they were segregated from the community. Why impose it on yourself when it can be easily avoided?!
Prayer times are not to be missed, having a break off from the period is just fine.
if you want to pray, thats fine... but that does not mean you can take any more time off than any one else or do anything special that others wouldnt be allowed to do if they were in their time off. Dont take up large rooms that other people use for other reasons and CERTAINLY dont miss education when its been given to you for free. If you want to pray, go somewhere where no one else will be disturbed or will want to be and do it discreetly, you dont have to make a big deal out of it to everyone else even if its a big deal to you.
Chistians here in UAE, they are allowed to not attend and islamic related lectures, in the exams if there is any islamic related info in any other subjects (like arabic) it will be excluded for their sake, and any special day for them, would be off for everyone (this was in my school). this is also wrong, no one should feel the need to disregard education for the sake of their beliefs... you should be able to study a religion without being religious and without bias so no one for any reason should be exempt from the right to an education!
About the food, u said it, its haram.. Muslims are not allowed to eat that, just let them be. food tech in my school NEVER involved eating food. You could eat whatever you had cooked if you wanted to but it wasnt in class and it certainly wasnt mandatory. Food tech was often teaching things about protiens, carbs, fats and sugars, all that stuff. We got to cook things but there was never not an alternative for vegetarians... so why couldnt muslims make vegetarian dishes and just not eat it if that was the case? there was more to food tech than "Cooking and Eating shit" is what im trying to say.
You're just pissed because some people got some kind of individual treatment, which is really normal depending on their cases, thats no "special treatment", muslims outside usually face such problems so im glad UK is allowing such things.
special treatment does not indicate good or bad treatment but just DIFFERENT treatment. If muslims want to be integrated into british society they should do their best to integrate into british society and not try to live the same life style or have different rules than anyone else. A lot of people feel the same with gays and lesbians. No one has an issue with a gay or a lesbian until they start acting different because of it. If its done behind closed doors no one would care. Damn I get creeped out when I see straight people making out in the street the same as I would if homosexuals were making out... Dont make a point of standing out of the crowd just to attract attention to yourselfs, its just not necessary
