They advertised that most of silk items except cosmetic can be earned just by playing the game. It's a lie, this "most of silk items" means globals and elephants. Health of elephants just got nerfed to the point that they are useless and its better to use npc transports. So the only silk item you can get for free are globals. If you won't donate you wont get avatar, pet, reverses or proper silk transports because they can't be traded. There goes idea of non p2w server.

The idea of a non pay2win server, I suppose, is that you cannot buy anything from the item mall that will give you a nearly promised chance of winning against players who does not have any silk.
This was dealt with by for example removing both the premiums and the devil spirits completely.

Furthermore, they ensured that people would not pay2win by making silk items untradeable. If they were tradeable, the people buying silk would be the richest players on the server, thus decreasing the amount of job activity and increasing the pay2win factor a lot!

Right now any kind of few star trade without buffalos is pointless. The change to elephants pretty much killed group guild trade runs. Now they have 30k hp and insta die. I reached 83 and i really struggle to see point in continuing because all that's left is making money. Can't grind for gold without grab pet and can't trade on low level npc transports.
Main reason why i started to play there was because they said that all silk items except cosmetic ones can be obtained by just playing the game. That was complete lie.

so ive extracted the folder all fine, try to open client i keep getting Silkroad Online Launcher Has Stopped Working... any ideas??\

PS, id post it on the server site but for some reason it wont load atm

Yep, they tweaked it alright. You're probably around 60-70. Just wait till you start trading at 80+ with fire bulls.

I'm not playing any card. I simply said that you're talking about something you didn't experienced. You don't know what difference it makes because you never done it. "afk running while spamming potions" is still there, you just have to pay for proper silk transport.

Like it or not, silk buyers will always have some advantage. Why? Because if they didn't, there'd be no point in donating. And no donations = no server.

Considering that perms and devil spirits are the most op pay2win items, I'm pleased the gm's removed them.

And as for avatars, if you lose because someone is wearing an avatar and you aren't, then you just suck. Get better.

What i wanted to say is that it's not what they advertised it to be. I said it here because they advertised it here. For rest of the time i was replying to dumb posts, like this one you made. If you still don't understand it then you aren't suppose to, believe it or not.

Yes i know how those servers work. Without donations they can't pay for server. But by locking down silk items trade, non donators can't ever get those clearly non cosmetic items. I never said that i lost with someone wearing avatar i just said that it gives advantage, you can't deny that.
If only cleric heals could prevent thief wizzards from 1-2 hitting lvl 50 transport with 30k hp.

Silk transports have exactly the same movement speed as normal silk transports, like stated here http://forum.play-venture.com/index.php?topic=309.0, should maybe go and read the patch notes from time to time, you know might give you an insight on what changed and what didn't so you don't make bullshit comments like the one above.

Actually i read it, still i appreciate your advice. You might want to follow it yourself tho. If you did that you would probably noticed that i was talking about hp not movement speed. That way you wouldn't make bullshit comments like the one above (sorry i just had to do it ;) ).
I don't really care about hp, movement speed or colour of transports. I just pointed out that it makes trading for non donators really hard.
Thing that annoyed me the most was "Silks are not treadable, but don't worry. Most of silk items can be obtained by playing the game" I'm too lazy to search for it but this statement was used to advertise this server. I played having it in mind and got disappointed. How will the silk transports give any advantage? They have the same movespeed, and the same HP now after the patch. The firebull has 70kish hp

It have less hp. Also when i checked that update notes yesterday buffalo had original hp, i'm pretty sure it got cut down by half recently. Plus i really don't see point of elephants with 30k hp.

I would really want to see reply about this false avertising. Rest are things that they can change anytime they want.

wtf is going on with the server?? i cant load home page and when trying to load the client the launcher comes up but no start, exit button or info on the left???
