Let's get one thing straight: chaud didn''t do this as a wake up call to the GM's of SRO. This was done out of greed and selfishness. His actions went far beyond his server, and have cost many players dearly.
So, thanks for thinking only of yourself, and thanks for nearly crashing the economy of several servers. Don't try to frame yourself as some sort of SRO hero or martyr because you got the GM's to do something.
Saying this needed to happen and that SRO is better now that this hole is plugged is BS as well. Software is by nature full of exploits, just look at MS Windows. Silkroad doesn't need hackers trying to expose weaknesses to the GM's, it is a f&*cking game, and it is meant to be fun.
In other words, the game is better off without you, chaud. In the end you became what you were most jealous of all along: Someone who got something for nothing.

the fact that i guessed your identity on the first try with only reading 3 of your posts is a bit sad... i could quite honestly formulate a script to reply for you, making your existance unnecessary... *hint hint*

crit has a tendancy to shoot off his mouth. I don't blame you for keeping him out of the loop. Now I just wonder how long it's going to be until chaby starts his dupe business.

Give this guy some tainted gold, I'm sure Athens can do without one less retard.

That is obvious to anyone without a prejudice against you chaud, and with the life experiences to analyze the big picture closely.
I lost a weapon I bought at +0 and plus 4'ed in the mini-rollback on Oasis, and to me it's a small price to pay for the hope that JM might have fallen off their reclining chairs while they scratch themselves and count their money.
Although it's doubtful anyone in a position of power at JM has the brainpower to read between the lines on this one (player dissatisfaction), I applaud the attempt
I also commiserate with those harmed by the rollback.
I understand there are those here who will strongly disagree with my words and opinions, and that is fine too.
I live for healthy exchange of opinion, I grow from it.
If you don't and just want to hate me and flame me, that's ok too
I believe that these perpertrators did what they felt was right, and were not motivated by greed.

Keyjizzle wrote: Yes it is true that the BOTS and CCFers must be dealt with but Taking maters into your own hands just to alert the GM's. Especially in the manner which you conducted your awakening is just selfish. Because of your little stunt the entire SRO was down for almost 12hrz. Which means that litterally hundred of thousands of people were left without SRO. If you really wanted to alert the GMs do you think it was right that the rest of SRO had to suffer too? Who knows how many people already knew this method and were silently using it? What if most of SRO gold that's been sold on ebay or on those sites that are globalled every day were made with this method? How many billions were already made to mule accounts? In any case when this kind of exploit is noticed in any mmorpg, all servers would have been shutdown and investigation/rollback/patch done. Chaud's stunt was extreme (wasn't the right way) but it doesn't change the outcome.. this was bound to happen sooner or later and it would have been still 12hour downtime and 100k players without SRO.

Ohhh Gooodddd nooo!!!!! Left without SRO!!!!! Fuckkkkkk!!!!!!!!! Maybe now those hundreds of thousands of people will go get some sun for a couple hours. Maybe hang out with some friends from RL. Maybe even do some exercise like walking or swimming. Jesus christ.
Lol it's so funny the amount of people non-chelantly asking for info on how to do it. Half would try it within minutes of reading it. I've got a guess though. I know in Diablo 2 one only needed to find a certain line of code, or packet, representing the item in question. One would then do some funny stuff with it, and presto, 2 windforces intead of one!
I am assuming SRO has MUCH less defense against something like that than a game ran by Blizzard would...hence, it should be EASY. A friend in RL was duping in Diablo 2 when he was like 16...and he is by no means a nerd or geek or anything along those lines...come on lol...
