Cute. ^^ Anyhow.

Its not topics discussing the problems of bot or CCF in general that are bothersome.

Its people turning threads INTO topics about bot or CCF.

The last +9 thread turned into an argument over bot. The thread, its title and contents had nothing to do with botting.

Its the small cracks of "He ccfs." or "He bots" when its nothing to do with the thread.

Just like the GNGC item thread. People started posting about bots once again. Another thread ruined.

Where did people like animE and Kit go? Did you drive them out of the forum already?

No, this forum doesnt promote cheating, hacking or other illegal activities. But we also do not seek out and destroy users either. Raising one individual on the stand doesnt change anything, or make any problems go away. The current problems with Silkroad need to be addressed as a problem on the whole picture, and not crying about one individuals doings.

I also think it would be appropriate to put a hit out for any Anti-GM or Anti-Joymax threads.

Do whatever. I just provided recommendations. If you choose not to go with 'em, fine by me.

But staddling the line isn't going to get you anywhere. You either need to tighten up ship, or let it turn to a madhouse.

1 - The majority of the community is tired of negative threads and bitching. It doesnt change anything or get you anywhere anyway.

2 - Cant just 'ban' people you don't like, because there are no forum rules or policies against whats happening.

This topic makes my head hurt :banghead:

I just can't see the rep system as not being abused if it allows people to be banned through a number of reports. People are going to get banned just because other people don't like them. I'll use the SuicideGrl example again, it seems as though there almost certainly would have been enough of you mad at him for that 1* popping thing awhile back to ban him, and I think it's not something you'd all still be so happy with now.

Add into that people who have little enough life to take the time to make multiple accounts to lay extra hurt on someone.

I dunno, just seems like... giving all the townspeople guns no matter how trigger-happy they are.

Your concerns is why the rep system is balanced.

Sure, maybe someone got pissed off and repped someone -1. And maybe someone made 10 accounts to rep someone -10.

It would take a lot of people with a lot of the same opinion to tip the scale.

Especially when mods and admins hit for ±10 points.

The more positive reputation a user has, the harder they hit.

You can always make a flame section. A place were people go to blow off steam. This is a mostly FFA and just like PVP were we all can have a little fun.

This also clears up the rest of the forum from all the side tracked posts. This also frees up the mods jobs so they can watch the normal forums while those who want to fight have a place to do so.

I know me. I like to get my point accross but I tend to do it with blunt force of a baseball bat.

Flame section please. Your see the two sides of people. When ever someone posts a flame outside that section, just move it or the people who don't like this type of stuff will say something.

Show you and exp..

http://www.fohguild.org/forums/index.php

Once people understand what the flame section is this clears up for the most part. You do play a PvP game and your going to have peoples feelings hurt. Yes they are gonig to take it out on here.

Honestly, I appreciate what some of you are coming out and saying. Shoot, even the negative comments are conveying a fustration for JoyMax. Ultimately THAT is the issue. Yes the illegal activities goes on but be realistic. On each server there are 3-4 CCFers. Making items, sellign accounts. Then there are fully farmed 70s who botted since mangyangs.

Even all ALL those things the main problem goes back to JoyMax. They are trying hard to fix but the game is still very unsecured, very chaotic. Look at it this way, recently on the news there is a 13 years old kid who took an AK-47 to school and open fire. Who is the blame, the kid or the parents who did not take care and watch over him? That is the question so should we bitch out these botters or come together and do SOMETHING to stop JoyMax?

Saying bot this bot that doesnt help anything. We need JoyMax and we need them now! I hate how people don't get together to fight yet jsut come flaming in every thread.

I bet some of you get global chat every day with some negative comments like you bot you ccf....the funny thing is those comments come from CCFed accounts too. It's overwhelming in the servers so why not make this forum a place to relax away from the game?

But thats not acceptable, and thats not why we made this board.

Anyone coming here looking for help, asking a question or new to the game, shouldnt have to deal with some prick who had a bad day, feels like making fun of them, using sarcasm or posting a picture that says 'owned'.

We have an 11 year old in the guild for some time now ; shes awesome. Never insulted anyone. Doesnt even know what CCF is.. Never complains, bitches or gets angry. Asks a lot of questions, but thats how people learn.

If she came here and asked a question, and got flamed? I wouldnt be too happy with that at all.

Why not Chaud?

What you gonna do? Ban them? Punish them? Change the item or take it? Maybe you could scam it if on your server

Other than that, you can't do shit

So why clutter the forum with flame and tears every damn time?

Every other stall has some CCF'ed item. Until joymax fixes it, its here to stay. We dont need to hear about it every thread.

Hell, I almost bought a shield with 6IMMO/6ASTRAL on it, just because the price was nice, and my brother needs a shield. But god forbid I post it and say "Good deal on shield I bought"

Get over it.

Change the rules to include no showing off gear?

What you don't seem to understand is that Ryoko could ban your IP address. I'm a moderator on another Forum and we do that to trolls who try to create multiply email accounts - it is quite simple and quick.

And you don't seem to understand I will just change my IP...

Stop allowing people to be worshipped for their "legit" or not gear. Don't allow showing off of gear, and that solves some of the problem.

I don't post stupid pictures. Sarcasm oh noes. When people ask, is str hybrid good? Is int bow good? over and over, no one makes an effort to search, things are posted in the wrong forum all day long.

Some ppl are just whiners. They cant be something they arent. For some reason, instead of action to make things better, they find solace in shame, blame and regret. I tried to ask for a cooling of the negativity and general bitching, but that is apparently "carebear". LOL I dont think it's carebear, I think it's just a sense of decorum and self respect. Yes, I am a bit arrogant, I know. But I believe that I can help, not by crying, but by making all those botters and CCFers look over their shoulder. Half the night, every night there's global after global from botters complaining about Fly. It's cute and it makes me happy to know that they are afraid.

Maybe Criterion should give up scamming the general server population and focus on the botters. LOL (Dont bother flaming me for that comment, cause Im in Avalon and I know one when I see one.)

Pot calling the kettle black? Since when were you so carebear about me stealing SOS from botters? And shit, if someone gets scammed/hacked anytime on Babel, apparently its my fault, people believe anything these days. Yesterday apparently some noob pmed me asking for a bot site because Tears said I botted, lol?

@Chaud - You got your opinion I got mine. So you can stand by whoever you wish, Im not saying its gotta be by me. But for one second isnt it a problem that we need to confront JoyMax about? Not something thats repeated over and over and over again. I dont hold grudges on anyone and I when I see something is right then I point it out, something is wrong then I say I disagree with (re: str hybrid, int bow). If you think its fine coming in a forum with flame fest written all over it then thats up to you. But this post is to help create a sense of unity in the forum. Something that haven't been seen for months.

I tried my best to leave names out of this to keep it non personal and deal with the issues. Others have made that impossible. Can't you all just check your ego for one thread? You're not going to change anyone's mind about their existing opinion.

It always comes down to name calling, hurt feelings and the need to defend oneself. Enough already, take your petty gripes with eachother to PMs. I don't give a rats ass.

To quote Chaud if you don't like a post don't read it, I'd add you don't need to respond. Why am I repsonding, well this is my thread.

None of these circumstances give you the right to be mean to someone, even if it is in the wrong forum.

This forum was never like that before, and I'll never agree to that.

All I got to say is, look at the the posts of the first month or 2 this forum was created, they were all nice, everyone helped each other, noob, ccf, bot was never used. You would acctually get a "congratz" when you posted you killed tg.

Now if you post something like "I found this +2 glaive, is it good" you will get answears like "ccf" "Botter" "hacker" "noob"...

I dunno, just seems like... giving all the townspeople guns no matter how trigger-happy they are.

the way it would work....

1. user gets mad at another and tries to give him a "warning" point or whatever it will be called.

2. that gets sent to a mod/admin and they review it too see if it is necessary or not.

3. if the admin finds it is an okay reason to warn the person, the point is given, if not, then the admin denies the warning.

IMO this is the only way it would work correctly.

Pretty good idea, I have seen it work very effectively on other forums, 10 or so warn points, then like a month ban? Then if they come back, still starting shit, have their max warning be like 5, if they surpass that, 5 month ban, and so on and so forth.

I like this idea. It means a lot more work for the admin and mods but it will really help.

Allowing people to show off CCFed gear is as good to me as allowing people to link to bot sites, which btw, might want to check tech support, there is a bot site link there.

Everyone would just spam warning points untill I was banned, I realize that none of the staff likes me at all. yay?

Look at some of the people posting alot, and look at their posts through their profile, you'll see what I mean. I'm tired of the 'I hate' and the 'you suck' JM/GM/SA/CCF/Bots/you/your build/learn english/you're a 12 year old posts. Enough is enough already.

Can we get a report user/post button? An option based on reputation was also suggested at one point. We need something, this is turning into tavern, but with more members.

I'm not 12.... I'm 14.
