The GW2's website has all the characters on the one page, with two blacked out.
I would guess that one would be some type of naturalistic hybrid. Diablo 2's elemental druid and WoW's shaman would be a cool mix.
But that's probably because that's what I would like to play. Looks like a heavy armor class with a gun.

According to popular opinion (on GW2Guru) the chick has to be a Mesmer. There's still one "profession that will come back from GW1" remaining and Queen Jennah in the book Edge of Destiny is a Mesmer. As for the Charr wielding some kind of rifle, no idea

I'm guessing that the mesmer will be more than just a mesmer, and I guess it would make sense for the charr to be a 2 handed melee (dervish-like) character. We know that the warrior uses the bow a lot, no reason to think that it wouldn't be the same case with that rifle.

Some kind of "image" mechanism would be interesting. Considering there's no more hexes in GW2(which was the Mesmers main mechanism IMO), they must have a totally new one to replace it. Oh well, three more days.

The Engineer has been leaked by MMORPG but the article got taken down. It looks pretty legit but I guess we'll only know tomorrow
"A master of mechanical mayhem, the engineer tinkers with explosives, gadgets, alchemy, and all manner of deployable devices. They can take control of an area by placing turrets, support their allies with a gun that shoots elixirs, or lay waste to foes with a wide array of mines, bombs, and grenades."

Basically a Saboteur with a gun? Meh, not interested. Ranger & Elementalist <3

http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/p ... /engineer/Don't think I particularly care for this class, we'll see how rewarding turret play is since that is what I like the most.

When you consider that this is not the last class to be revealed, all of the "Mesmer" assumptions for the last one get thrown out. This was a mind ****, the last class will be a history-making mind ****.
edit: I think a shout class, like shout barbarians from diablo 2 but where the shouts are like voodoo hexes, would be cool. You could add in dead raising or mind control skills?
edit2: Now that I think of it, the Engineer class isn't that ground break. It's almost like an trapassin from Diablo 2.
edit3: absorb skill is like kirby

I seriously can't express how I feel about this profession. I guess I find it creative (relative to the GW universe) but something bothers me about it. It's like they wanted to be "cool and outgoing" by having flamethrowers and kits but at the end it looks gimmicky. I will say I like the Alchemy concept of the class. Sylvari Engineer anyone? lol.
dom wrote: When you consider that this is not the last class to be revealed, all of the "Mesmer" assumptions for the last one get thrown out. This was a mind ****, the last class will be a history-making mind ****. Exactly how I feel. I was so certain that the Mesmer would be the May reveal. **** they better do something amazing for the last one.
P.S: So the leak was legit. P.S: Does anyone see the connection with the Ritualist mechanics. Weapon Kits = Weapon spells? P.S: Jump Shot and Absorb looks fun-------------------------------------------------- To add to the 1,141371+ proofs of the Mesmer being the new profession, here's something interesting taken from an Interview.
DeBussy: Well you have done it, I have found my new favorite profession for Guild Wars 2.
Eric Flannum: Excellent (editors note: I imagine some Monty-Burns-like gesture on the other side of the phone here)
Jon Peters: There is one left, so hold on...
DeBussy: Yes, there will be. So listen to me carefully, CAREFULLY!... With only one profession left to be revealed you only have one remaining possibility *clears throat* to 'change my 'MIND'' again.
Eric Flannum: *laughs* Well, we’ll see. We may be able to "change your MIND".

When I heard about the engineer I got scared about how it was gonna look, even though I'll be sticking to my ranger, ArenaNet have managed to fit in what could have easily been taken over the top and out of GW context. Looks like an interesting class though should be interesting how it will work in PvP.

Exactly what I was thinking the unknown profession would be.
Wonderfully executed, ArenaNet. /thumbsup

Cant understand how those won the grand prize, there is alot better entries out there imo. The news report one was rather good, but not worth the price. The icelandic viking just made me feel ashamed of being a gamer.

Holy shit, members of GW2Guru get selected for a chance to play the next GW2 build. Not quite sure how it works but that's what I understood so far. EDIT: They can't film it but they're allowed to tweet all the information. Popular opinion think the build will feature Sylvaris + Engineer. http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/are ... 18067.html

There is so much hype for this game, it reminds me of Halo 2.
I think it will be a solid game but I think it will be disappointing to many people.

Fury wrote: Anyone know the release date yet? Or roughly when it's coming out..? Sorry but I cringe everytime I see this question. It's probably the most frequently asked question. A 5 second research would of gotten you the answer. I'll give it it because I'm a pretty hawt guy. Alpha through 2011 (This includes the current demos + the fanday we got this week), Closed/Open beta by the end of 2011 and most likely a release at the end of 2011. Yes, they did intend for the Open Beta to be close to the release date.

I can't wait to see how this looks on my new 15.6" laptop =D
There is so much about this that I'm excited for. A few of them are simple things like no loot stealing, all xp from a mob for all attackers. Difficulty scales with # of players on some events.

I can't stand huge screen laptops. 15.6 is perfect for me. Still 1080p and mostly for school. It should run this max no problem.

Ugh 30" are too expensive. 27" not as bad, but still a shit load more than a 24" Seen a video of someone using 3-way eyefinity. (7680x1600). That requires a beast Gpu because he had to disable his Dx11 cuz his Radeon 5970 couldn't handle it.
