I know most people dont take Force and couldnt care less, but I really need to know, I dont want to delevel Force just because JoyMax cant make proper Force tree.

no new skills onlylving the old ones which i think the healing skills get to lv 90 before the next skill same with ring

also they have it set to 300 for now and should be lv 600/600 when the level gap hits higher then lv 90, but as for now there is no need

you can not fail alchemy to +1 for starters.

also its all based on luck just like sos drops are all luck so is alchemy

stop contridicting yourself. theres no need to say you cant fail +1 when obviously you can and then state its based on luck. why cant we get a GM to talk about these things and who are you anyways -_-.

A little clarification, You cannot fail going to +1 with lucky powder. The rest of it is just luck. There aren't any tricks to alchemy, just luck and persistence.

maybe because the GMs are busy doing important stuff...

and like many people said in earliers posts, nightv went to the GNG tourney with cuchulainn, and they meet Gargamel, and asked question to him.. and about fail +0 to +1, i never failed that, maybe i have lucky :?

Nice Q/A, thanks =)

Myquestions:
The way you answers these how much of it is "what you think will happen" Vs "what actually being done" as in, have you ask the GM similar question in the past and hear the info from them or is asking them directly?

Is JM aware of the condition in SRO right now? as in, if you go to shade/yeti or any place in SRO its all taken over by botter/gold farmer and is imposible to play. Newgold farm bot is int based nuking everything in 1 hit and actually KS player. They also have auto login.

Finally, how come Jm never reaveal to our player any info such as, were doing this were doing that? it look to me like their not doing anything. I mean i'm not claiming that is it a one click to solve all problem, some problem can be solve easily, such as astral lvl restriction.

Commment: From your answer up there if it is true that JM is feeling the silk boycott then what were doing is all worth it. I'd say we all continue to boycottt silk until we see real action from JM and not just word.

I really apreciate the answers you are giving us, even though this is something JM should be able to take care of themselves. Not a single player who have contact with a GM.

Boycotting silk will still be a matter for me as I see no point in trying to level up anymore. Being a blader at 64, grinding in the cave, is both depressing and aggravating. When they ban all the botters, then I can start thinking of spending money again on this game. It is sad that they haven't come out with information like this before. If it was because they were up to their ears with work, the SA's could have helped out spreading it. I don't think they would mind. I know I wouldn't.

I agree with Chaby about the force mastery and all its weaknesses.
Like I posted in my healer guide:

1. No imbue
2. Vital spot attack is useless, can be canceled by a simple right click
3. No defensive buffs
4. They "fixed" natural theraphy, so it is back to being less usefull
5. The heal skill lacks efficiency
6. Who needs the extra MP? Should be changed to something usefull
7. Reviving people is really good, but why not let the healer also benefit from it in some way

If they are having great results with the botter banning on kSRO, it brings some hope back to this game. It is sad thugh that it have taken so long to come up with a solution, because many legit players have already quit because of frustrate.

Hireing more GM's seems like a main task for JM right now. If this game grows to its full potential, then it will be all worth the extra costs. Satisfied customers are usually good customers.

Lets define important: of much or great significance or consequence. Tell me, what are these great important stuff. Keep in mind...GREAT SIGNIFICANCE. We all can live without new maps, new monsters, new skills, new servers. The only importance these factors have is a WOW factor and basically to mask problems. So whats more important, fixing problems and throwing bbq sauce on it so it taste good for a few minutes?

As stated before, he has talked in person with the mods. As he is one of the two winners of the world wide tournament, it would make the most sense to listen to him, as opposed to someone that has just heard rumors on the forums. Stuff like events and updates would most likely be true, as for the banning of bots and ccfers, he can't really give exact information on that because the mods themselves are still working on that and have no real idea when they will be done. Like he said earlier "aaaa yes dates would be nice, but joymax does not want to say somthing they dont know if they can hold up to.

they realy do the best they can with what they got. And so you know as soon as the korean sro ban bot system worked they started to work on the same thing for iSRO. so they are working on it right now. trying to get it done as soon as they can
"

Obviously if they are having to fork over tons of money to pay for it then they would notice. After all if you were losing hundreds of dollars a day wouldn't you notice something was wrong? Like he said earlier, they are working on that, and seeing as the game is free and most people that play don't pay anything, it would be difficult to deal with it as fast as say the creators of WoW would be able to.

I will quote nightv again to help answer this one.

"joymax does not want to say somthing they dont know if they can hold up to"

It is a legit business move. You don't show someone the cards in your hand before they are ready to be played, so at the moment, they aren't talking about it. After all, they want to be one step ahead of the bot makers, not the other way around.

No, as they don't get any money for supporting this game itself, the boycott would only risk the chance of them shutting the game down. They have no real income outside of the item mall, so if you people are willing to risk losing all the money you already spent, then it is a good idea, otherwise... I would buy the silk as I do anyways.

Note: This last answer was my own. I had no outside help to come up with that answer.

^^^^They already lost their money. They lost it to useless time grinding and astral and blah blah knowing non legit players out performed them for free. They do have a real source of income, its called ksro, jsro, etc. By boycoting iSRO they will be losing a huge chunk of change because more people read english then the other languages of SRO. JM either fix problems or get a few loans.

Gotta love how you all speculate how much Joymax makes, saves and loses.

You dont have a desk at Joymax, so you don't really know.... do you.

And all the talk of people quitting because of service. Funny.

The servers are still tough to log into mid day, and people are still playing. Even if your not.

So they failed at +1 lol

How much they make should be pretty appearant. You have to figure that out of the games they produce, this one makes a good amount of money. The reason I say this is because you have to figure that there are what 13 - 15 servers right now in iSRO alone. Say that out of all those people only 1 out of 10 people pay for something through item mall. It takes around $15 to get a gold ticket. That would obviously be the most saught after item in silk as most of the players are trying to catch up to the lvl 70's. Then you figure that there are all the other items that people buy, which also cost a bit of money. Say that only 1 of 10 people does this out of how many play? Thats a good deal of money if you think about it. Then on top of that figure in that there are multiple versions of SRO, all of which have the hypothosized ratio of silk buyers. You would end up with a good deal of money to go around.

Now then, to say that they lose money would be accurate. If people were to bot they don't need a gold ticket. So that ratio would go down. Maybe it would drop to say 2 out of 15? Thats not as bad right? Once again on a global level the amount of money could be huge.

i myself play less and less, just got on tonight (a first since a week i think) to see that others had stopped to play during my absence.

and like alfred said, it gets depressing to grind in the caves with the lag and bots. I think i'll even retire till it get's better..

Personally i do not support teh way yet another thread is going OT.
nightv tries to answer some questions here and he's unforced to do so.
As zero_doom says:
we should thread this with respect.

After all rumours and gossip about everything we finally have some info that seems to be legit.

I know most people wanna know dates. But again as zero_doom said that's a pure tactical company move.

Ryoko if this turns out to be very interesting (as it is already to me) will you consider making this a sticky?

My question is probably not the most pertinent to most of us, but:

What are they doing about the Adelphia/@home/ISP/DNS/(other technical stuff) problem? Can they give us something more than, try this ___, oops doesnt work, too bad.?

Just wanna says thanks to nightv for doin this.

Very good read!

Thanks for all the information. I agree, I also think that JM is doing the best they can. I DO wish we had the same events that the other versions seem to get on a regular basis, I feel like we are sometimes treated like the "other" SilkRoad. They have been very busy making SRO large enough. But not enough time is spent to make those of us who are here still and have been since the beginning, feel like we are important to them. It's not easy sticking with a game that may be updated "soon". I go on all the other versions, see what they get... Then I come back here and it's kinda deflating. I feel bad for those that do not do what we do and explore all that SRO has to offer. I make these movies so that ppl will look at what SRO is going to be someday.

I realize that they have issues to resolve that we dont see. I can sympathize. But I still remain hopeful also that ISRO will become more of a priority to JM than it appears to have been.

I dont like bots too,but I have some other way to make this game fun,not only grind for more then 12 hours a day. Guess thats main reason why i play 7 months and im still 54-55 on my main and only char. :D ,oh yes and never use item mall stuff.

but leave that all my one and only question is:

When iSRO version will support direct payment using American express card?

(cant use paypal and only card i have is AE).
Thank you :D !

Sutaseyu, a Silk Assistant on Babel apparently talked to a developer and GM Gargamel.

1.She said that joymax was actually making money out of CCFing, that mastercard still pays them.

2.She said the bot was actually made by joymax for of course more profit, and that they can actually code something to prevent botting.

3.She said the trade hack was actually existent, is this true?

another question; will joymax EVER consider lowering the prices on the 8th immortal and astral stones? paying 5 bucks for each, a combined 10 bucks, to just

make your item failsafe at +4 is quite expensive (not counting the numerous alchemy failes and the combined $ count on d8 astral and immortal stones by such)

when you fail once and add another set of d8 item mall alchemy stones is the equilavent of a golden ticket and pet revive clock.

they are not only looking at lowering that but lowering all items to max proofit gains, when the game gets a little older you will see this happen.

this is a whole nother division of JM that i am not in contact with, i could ask when i call but i dont think Gargamel would know

ALL OLD SILK ASSISTANTS WERE DISSBANED AND ARE NO LONGER SILK ASSISTANTS!!!

this is one thing they did not post about but happend already since they did not do the job they were given.

as for the questions

1st=Sutaseyu has never bin in contact"meaning in person" with GM Gargamel or ANY developers. the developers of the game were not even realy around the GnGWC and the CEO and

director of joymax were there. beside the fact they all speak korea and no very little on the ways of english

2nd=no joymax never made a bot nor to they max money from it. the bots use a hard coding that is hard to remover from the system with out banning there

accounts

3rd=no there is no such thing as a trade hack or any hacks on this game, that is one thing that i know was made form a lot of level 20 new players when they

got scammed by some one else. so no there is no hacks as of now, cus i know some one is going to breing up the time rock and talka monsters were spawend in

hotan and down, like a year ago, which was totaly fixed.

*What are you talking about stop bitching?, If someone pays for somenthing they have a right to complain.

*Yea you say ccf doesn't effect anyone else, It's Just like gold bots. They make the prices sky rocket on everything because they have the gold to afford it.

*Im not buying silk again until they do somenthing about the botters, Maybe they should go in game and look around for once. It doesn't matter if i have a gold ticket or not, When there's a 64+ bowman botting at the penons there isn't anything to lvl on.

could you make your first post a FAQ lay-out so it provides a better overview on what has been asked and answered?

another question; will joymax EVER consider lowering the prices on the 8th immortal and astral stones? paying 5 bucks for each, a combined 10 bucks, to just

make your item failsafe at +4 is quite expensive (not counting the numerous alchemy failes and the combined $ count on d8 astral and immortal stones by such)

when you fail once and add another set of d8 item mall alchemy stones is the equilavent of a golden ticket and pet revive clock.

they are not only looking at lowering that but lowering all items to max proofit gains, when the game gets a little older you will see this happen.

Myquestions:

Commment: From your answer up there if it is true that JM is feeling the silk boycott then what were doing is all worth it. I'd say we all continue to

boycottt silk until we see real action from JM and not just word.

zero_Doom already answerd the others so let me just tell you this, iSRO makes the most money for them, and you boycotting silk is the most retarted thing i

have ever heard of, do you know why people boycott? its to shutdown something and stop it form going on. and thats what boycotting silk will do.

^^^^They already lost their money. They lost it to useless time grinding and astral and blah blah knowing non legit players out

performed them for free. They do have a real source of income, its called ksro, jsro, etc. By boycoting iSRO they will be losing a huge chunk of change

because more people read english then the other languages of SRO. JM either fix problems or get a few loans.

ALL OLD SILK ASSISTANTS WERE DISSBANED AND ARE NO LONGER SILK ASSISTANTS!!!

this is one thing they did not post about but happend already since they did not do the job they were given.

as for the questions

1st=Sutaseyu has never bin in contact with GM Gargamel or ANY developers. the developers of the game were not even realy around the GnGWC and the CEO and

director of joymax were there. beside the fact they all speak korea and no very little on the ways of english

Correction, SOME SA's were disbanded. Sutaseyu is still an SA and has Gargamel's MSN.

Gotta love how you all speculate how much Joymax makes, saves and loses.

You dont have a desk at Joymax, so you don't really know.... do you.

Ever priced bandwidth? Servers? Labor time to monitor it all?

I'm a member of the 5th largest message forum on the Internet.. we typically kill thousands of dollars in bandwidth per month. On top of that, the servers (about 5 of them) cost usually in the neighborhood of $50k - $80k.

And that's just serving basically text, with around 1,000 people on at any given moment.

Multiply accordingly, and shut your mouth. kthnxbye

I don't understand why people keep bitchin'?
I mean, come on, can't you understand JM is in a lot of pressure right now.
I would like you guys to go and handle such a big game with a bunch of wailing players who like everything they want granted. It's not that easy and what with all the CCF'ng, instead of being able to hire more people, they're having to cope with financial problems.

So little employees, + CCF'ers + Game Problems (like bots, glitches, lag, etc), and whiny little boys = Heavy Pressure on Joymax

I do agree all these are their responsibility, yes we can whine, but not to the extent that you blame them for everything and punish them. I would really love all the whiners to work in Joymax, but do them a favor and work there when you've got more mature minds so you can all understand that all your wishes for better gaming experience is not that easy to solve.

I know they're updated with everything going on, what people are complaining about and blah blah blah, it's just that they're so busy with all other more important things that they can't just handle EVERY SINGLE complaint IN ONE GO. Keep in mind that JM is not as large as other gaming companies. They have a lot on their hands right now, you should even be thankful they're still thinking and working on solving these problems, otherwise they should just have closed down to escape people who have nothing better to do than complain.
