Wasn't sure whether this deserved to go into the Q&A section, as this isn't about game mechanics but more to do with graphics.

I'm wondering how I can get anti-aliasing to work in SRO. I've got nVidia GTX 465s, so I figured there wouldn't be any problem. But if I go into the control panel and force AA, I believe I actually get it, but no player models or general models in the game, all I get is the background and buildings. Anyone else found a solution?

strange, I don't think there would to much of a solution to that. Makes me wonder how they made this game. I know the gui is it's own element, backgrounds, and plains. I tried to tear apart how joymax layers silkroad myself many times, but they seems so sloppy, and out of place. If you can't force AA from the control panel for models and so on, I doubt you can at all. That AA overrides all opengl and directx running via the video card, which makes me wonder why it doesn't affect all of it. Hope you find a solution though

My mistake, missed out the word 'appear'. If I force it, the AA works on anything visible. But nothing is visible, except from buildings and such. Player models and things like that, they're essentially invisible.

Try to turn off bloom effect in the game settings as well.

Also make sure the all other settings in the nvidia control panel are on application control :D

they made this game very very poorly it has a memory leak, chews up 25% according to task manager uses up about 25% of a hex core processor. and yet i have a 460gtx in my computer and i cant use detailed shadows. so yea it was coded poorly but still manages to hold together and run.

Ah wow, turned off bloom exited the game, forced AA, got it in-game now :p But I miss the bloom effect, but I can live without it. Odd that with bloom, I lose all models in the game...

Thanks.

Had a look, didn't find anything. Googled it, think there was a thread on the geforce forums but nothing helpful.

Yeah, SRO has forced a lot of us to take up drinking. I know there's at least 3 other SRO players at my AA meetings...

no solution except for a gamble of a driver downgrade, but I wouldn't know the version, but it has done it for years soooooo even then you couldn't get fermi drivers. Have fun

Yeah, not too keen on that idea Lolz. I'd only upgrade the drivers, if anything. Haven't updated them since Sept/August.
