Where I was merely confused before, I now find this thread utterly incomprehensible.

It seemed to be making more sense until the anti-avalon trolls started. Then it sank quickly, as threads typically do when that crew starts up.

Itsune, Equal and Aishsharma seem to know whats going on. I'll just follow them.

Iris 4 Life! :p 2 Years I spent there, starting over is hard? Yes. But, so what? Isn't it all about the fun part of things?

About failing attemps of legit movements, well if the first attempt on Iris failed... I'll tell you this much.. my ego has no limits.. Iris failed cause I wasn't there! :p

We are in the process of re-initiating the Legit Movement on IRIS.. for the SAKES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL THERE AND WOULDN'T LEAVE.


Otherwise, how about we switch the move of this topic from dissing him, her, them and what not...


The important question is.. Why did Venus, Iris, and whichever other server fail to hold all the Legits together? (other than botting)

Servers shouldn't play an important role in being able to keep players together. It is up to the community itself to bind individuals together.

But.

People like the idea to control and so people join new servers. Without Avalon, Azteca would be 'one of those servers where a small group of players joined to do a legit movement which inevitably died out.'

Who knows. Azteca might pull a Venus and people leave because they can no longer control the server. And commence the multiple legit movements. Here's hoping it doesn't (reading: Avalon's rules 'we're not doing a second venus').

CrazyBull, if you can find fun in a server with low activity, then be my guest. We played on Iris for sometime during the drop in activity until I suggested we'd go to Azteca. Because the only reason I'd ever play Silkroad Online is for the possibility to play in parties on a regular basis (only reason I came back and played on Iris). What I don't get is players from Ares are still trying to recruit players. What can you do ...

Either you guys were completely unknown to the subject at hand or you did not read it clearly. I've reread my first post multiple times and found it to be clear enough. The conclusion says it all.



I would only say the Venus bit might confuse people as they have mix emotions twisted up with that server. And assume that that is a hit on Venus.

Also; With the top listed summary to provide what is happening.



With thread listed as "Iris Reporting" with following "result of Azteca," when Azteca emerged.

Note that this summary gives a listed report on the status of a % of Iris players.

Honestly. Not to take shots at posters, but this is getting old after I've explained the purpose of the thread with the follow up. But I'll go ahead and point things out.

This comment is off topic and has no relation to the topic at hand. The topic is: legit movements. And if anyone is planning to do a legit movement, it'd be smart to join an already made movement. Note: I can't stress enough this doesn't include only Iris.

I guess you misunderstood what I wrote then. What I meant was exactly that you shouldn't keep playing at a server just because you've played there for a long time. If every other legit is at another server, you should join that one to help them out (considering that they're most likely your friends - at least if you use SRF).

Itsune, if so then OK. The only thing I got in reply would be something of semantics. Like 'instead of the word should, it should be a recommended suggestion.' But that bit doesn't matter.

People can stay on their dead server and bear the weight of it. I've been on servers where the group I was in died. I kept playing for sometime but found no real satisfaction in continuing playing. If people want to stay on their servers that has a 0.001 population of legits and find it fun, then alright. What I believe is that a % of them haven't experience a big community yet so they are tunnel visioned (aka ignorant) to transferring to a big community like Azteca. Reap what you sow, heh?

Crazybull or w.e you can't comprhend this legit movement on Iris also failed because the server was so old. Who wants to start up a server so old where people are already cap? Azteca is much different and way better.

i had one of those about 1 foot away from my bedroom door. it lasted an hour, thankfully it came back on.

I don't think it was Crazy, but w/e.

I started on Iris when the server was about 8 months old. Yeah, by that point some bots were probably capped, but this was back when a lot of servers weren't crowded, JM was banning bots by the dozen and goldbots by the hundreds. So I thought it was worth a shot.

What you're saying though, is that once a server opens, unless legits IMMEDIATELY jump on the server and play, it's going to go to hell. Remind me, did Avalon and friends get on Venus the first day or not? I can't remember.

Older servers yes are not as good to play on, but Iris wasn't that old.

Is somehow different now? Is funny you can never have those "legit" communities, guilds, unions without the "sneaky few" that nobody talks about because they are freinds and so forth.


"The Machine" always catches up man. Eventually, always get to a point where the botters strength is just rediculous. Fighting decked out bots all the time gets really old, really fast.

I'd say it's due to apathy for the most part. The social stigma against "snitching" is also prevalent. Then you have those weak guild masters that won't enforce the rules.
