Don't bother. I already stated my arguments and that's that. It's simply a matter of personal opinion at this point. Most of what I was going to say was simply gonna' fall on deaf ears anyway; most people will completely miss the reasoning behind the opposing side's arguments.

Case in point:
McLovin1t wrote:

I see no point in reiterating my statements again.

Wheres Orphen on this? We had an argument of this while playing L4D. He did make pretty good points that I agree with but I'm to lazy to list.

Honestly I'm for it but at the same time against it. There are many pros to it and equally as many cons. Again I'm too lazy to list lol

I feel we need to educate more people about what cannabis really is, or we'll have people freezing up like that guy in the show.

Epic fail lmao. You're being a good student and smoking weed have NOTHING to do with each other. Whether you realize it or not, many students who smoke don't do as well as you, and in fact it causes them to do worse in school, drop out, or do worse drugs. Basically, because you are responsible and/or smart, doesn't mean that everyone is. Because you can deal with it well, is no grounds for changing sides from anti to pro, basically your entire argument falls under the Improper Induction error of an argument.
Good try though :)

Can you please find something to back up what you just said. I'd love to see the statistics.

Let me have you know that not every person who does drugs is going to move onto harder drugs and f*ck up their life. I know a lot of people who are into hard drugs and are also smarter than most 'straight-edge' people I went to school with thanks to a little thing called self-education - and no, that doesn't necessarily mean they didn't go to or finish school.

It's not all bad...

I like how a bunch of people are trying to say weed is the determining factor in X situation - which more than likely involves a multitude of factors.
So unless someone conducts a large experiment that isolates weed as a factor you really can't say "well weed does this blaa blaa blaa taco burrito blaa."

Dude, it takes complete denial to say that weed isn't even an explanatory variable in any situation. Major facepalm

Same error. Improper induction. But seriously, again, not all x -> y, but x can -> y.
x = smoking weed, y = any bad effects listed above, or just common sense.

Talking about alcohol or weed? Both seem to fit your argument.

Alcohol is more dangerous than illegal drugs like heroin and crack cocaine, and marijuana too.

Found the article while browsing thehelper's news page http://www.thehelper.net/. Link to thehelper's link http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39938704/ns/health-addictions/.

For about 4-5 years i've been dealing with terrible headaches, almost everyday, sometimes unable to even open my eyes, nor anything else, it was obviously migrain, doctor confirmed it, i used a bunch of meds, had been taking some pills that contained some addictive shit, which by the way didn't help with anything, the pain didn't get better and sometimes it would get worse. That was like 2 years of using all kinds of medicine.
It's been even more time that i've been offered weed, always said no, but one of the mentioned days i just couldn't stand the pain, i myself went and asked for some, smoked it, a few mins later the pain was almost gone, then later it had vanished. Who would have thought the thing i kept rejecting would be the only thing that helped me.

I myself use it for my migrain, it helps me focus too.

@McLovin1t, stop listening to what the media says, and do your own research on the matter.

- Weed is not addictive.(generally speaking, anything can be addictive depending on the person)
- You cannot OD on weed.
- Weed helps those with pain, as stated above, it helps with migraines and helps those with cancer cope with nausea. It helps deal with the loss of appetite that accompanies AIDS.
- Weed doesn't cause cancer, it actually kills cancer cells.
- There has been 0 deaths by weed users.
- 14.6 million Americans smoke weed on a regular basis.

Just some facts off the back of my head. Of course weed isn't a miracle drug, it does have negative qualities to it, but what doesn't?

Why don't we ban fast food? Why don't we ban being out in the sun? Why don't we ban cars, trains, planes or anything else that can crash and kill? Everything in this world is dangerous, weed has minimal danger to it, so why keep it banned?

War on drugs is failed, it is a lie, and it is sad some people still believe in those lies.

McLovin has no case. A little self-education would go a long way.

One of my friends had a sun cancer on his arm, so he put weed in his kettle when making tea and the thc has significantly reduced the size of the cancer.

I looked into that. It seems that this is a misconception about marijuana. I can't really pin down a reputable source, but many of the results on Google state that people who smoke weed also smoke cigarettes and do other drugs so it's hard to pin down marijuana as a cause of cancer. I'd be interested if you had a source.

I'd vote for it. It is going to be regulated by the government and, I believe, grown by them as well. It helps a lot of people with health problems. It will be a great cash cow in terms of taxes. In the end it would probably effect me as much as alcohol does now, which is nil. Alas, I live in Indiana, the state which once banned Louie Louie.
