Do u prefer to FE as zerg around 15-ish supply? or get a mild fighting unit count and then expand? :|
Gotta know your build orders..
scout when making first overlord
if they pushing out early (2gate, fast spawning pool, proxy) ---13 pool, make units/spine crawlers as needed
if they aren't ---14 hatch, 14 pool, 14 gas or ---13 gas, 13 pool, speedlings
if 6 lings come at you early on, the game is NOT over. Use your miners and attack move. Try to surround them. Then you can out macro them and win or go for the quick attack.

i know that lol...its just that even if i get my 2nd hatchery at my natural and a pinney goes with the macro heavy 4 gate, i can never get enough units out to stop it mid game, and it almost always seems to happen just when i build my lair and setting up my spine or hydra den ( i get it around 30 supply) and i only have a handful of lings :| also..i seem to be short on larvae with too much minerals/gas :O
edit: due to my tremendous love for pinney, I associated him with toss, so pinney= toss
lol I picked up on that no worries
If he's macro heavy, he's most likely skimping on units early on. Send some speedlings to his expansion or even in his main if you can, you don't even have to kill anything. The main point is to make him build defensively.
But in all honesty it sounds like you just need to work on your macro =p Always use inject larva (hotkey queens to 3, press v and click on minimap near a hatchery and the closest queen will inject).
If he's going 4gate, you can definitely FE and make more roaches than him. Then transition to whatever you need.

actually 15 hatch is standard and hatch before pool holds most rushes (like 2 gate) better due to more larva for lings

Indeed, looks like I need to review my own build orders
I don't usually like to risk holding off a quick 2gate with FE though.. I've done 2gate against other diamond zerg fast expanders and it was an easy win, almost too easy. If they do 2gate I spinecrawler and out micro/macro.

Make banelings and break down doors or get air units yourself. With zerg you can expand early and if they are turtling you can get many drones while waiting for that spire to come up.

post a replay, guides only help so much when it comes to the individual, which is why so many sc2 tutors are getting rich.
this goes for the whole thread btw, if you want help, post a replay. Easiest way to assess your ability.

I´m on a streak! Ranked 30th orso in my bronze league right now, I hope I think I´m playing at silver level atm. After watching X´s(Minecraft dude) SCII vids, I decided to up my early game a bit. Usually I'd just macro the f- up, and win with 200 supply, but now I'm getting a little more agressive with some roaches etc. It's more fun!

That is all.
l2overseer. I always morph 2 overlords into an overseer when I tech to hive, so I can place them at my mineral line. Add a queen, and maybe 2 when youre in trouble, and you're set.

I freaking this game. When you win it feels so good.
So I went to attack his base twice and kinda failed (zealots, immortals, stalkers) but still did some damage. Then we didn't encounter each other for like 20 mins. I sent an Observer to quickly scout. Meanwhile I decided to expand to two more bases... best choice of my life lol. Was so rich, massed Void Rays and finished the game. The guy was like "wtf u cheat?".
