I'm a lv36 nuker with a 5 gap. I get like .02% per kill with a 5 gap. Absolutely ridiculous. In order to level I need to kill 5000 monsters? No thanks. I have a life.

Getting power leveled on the other hand is much much faster. A good taxi gets me 40-50% an hour. Even the free taxis are semi-decent.

So to everyone saying "dude, just play the game the way it was meant to be played":
Tell me what's fun about spending ten hours killing the same two or three monsters by yourself just to level. That's right. BY YOURSELF. At my level, the community is quite underpopulated. I can't even buy any gear cause there's no one selling.

Also, playing as a hunter or thief is basically impossible since probably 90% of the community is higher level than me and won't hesitate to slay me. So the only safe job I can do is a 1 star trade, which takes about half an hour and only gets me 100k at most.

If no one botted or power leveled, lv36 would be closer to the average level, and at least I'd be able to PvP some people. But since most people bot or get power leveled, one must power level in order to not be at a huge disadvantage. So guys, stop grinding, stop doing the stupid quests that give like 20% of the exp needed to level after killing 1000 monsters, and play the game the way the majority of people are playing it, not the way it's meant to be played.

If you disagree, go ahead and grind. You may have to drop out of school, quit your job, not go out on Friday nights, or break up with your girl. But I'll be there to smile upon your corpse when I own you in PvP while laughing at the time you waste trying to level.

Im getting 0.01 per 10 monsters if I grind in 4/4 party so don't whine.
Wait, what? Are you trying to tell us to bot or that you're going to do that? :soosad:

Are you really getting 0.02% off killing things your own or a bit higher level atm im killing things about my level on a lvl 65 with 1 gap and i usually get 0.01% a kill i dont know how you should be getting that not exaggerating are you?

No exaggeration. This is with both the academy and LTP bonus.
And I kill white monsters, not orange. Orange monsters take twice as long to kill and give less than twice the exp. Plus party/giants kill me easily.

For white monsters all I have to do is nuke then lion shout. For orange monsters I have to nuke twice, sometimes more.

For example. Every blood death flower I kill (two levels lower than me) gives me about 500-550 exp. I need 2.9 mil exp to level. That's slightly less than 0.02% actually.

No point in complaining....and whining...you can only get power leveled up to a certain point....and at that point you have no choice but to grind on your own again...and if you think the exp rate at lvl 36 is horrid you're in for a much bigger surprise when you see what you get at higher levels.....I think its time for you to quit before you end up being the corpse that we all will be laughing at...

iSRO just doesn't have the updates yet that make handgrinding easier.

And why do u gap at that level? Either gap at 1-27 or farm at 100+. All levels in between should be 0-1 gap to level as fast as possible.

Quiet you, no need to corrupt the ignorant with your demonic thoughts...

As for OP, you have a 5 gap man, ur losing what 50% xp per kill to sxp? obviously ur xp is low, and yes the main problem is a lack of community, its y i left my lvl 36 nuker on venus for iris, atleast ppl talk here :D

As for power lvls, yes i won't say that power levels are not fast or never go for powerlevels, it helps speed things up sometimes i even have a low level char I switch to leave for free pfarm when i have nothing to do in game, but honestly would u like to just sit ur char down for hrs or days just to lvl up faster without actually doing anything? I can do that with my alt char coz over night coz im playing a wiz most of the time and having fun. Currently i don't even care about lvling up that wiz or my alt so much either or getting the best equip(as long as I'm having fun), i run around, do some quests, take part in ctf/ba and yes solo grind.

TL;DR: go on the occasional taxi if u want to, but if u find no pleasure in playing the game then quit, its better than botting or taxi-ing

those are only worth doing after legend X lol
right now the effort is extremely high for a ridiculously low reward.

taxis are for levels with really annoying monsters, or monsters that spawn every 5 minutes in a radius of 100-200.

And with the expensive taxis for over level 60, i'm sure people think twice before giving their money to a potential scammer.
It does not make sense to reach a desired level but have no money left to enjoy it.

i'm one of those people who feel the urge to change something when they see it too often.. so it's a bit unfortunate for bugs to be my theme when i'm active

Change your title and reset it as "Why Grinding in Silkroad is Fail." Then we all can quit the game

I thought we were saying that you should try to have fun while playing the game and not simply play the game to have fun when u reach the cap

I'm still not understanding your frustration. I just finished the lopes/nokes quest. With a 3 gap, I killed 1800 mobs for about 3.5%. At level 82, that's not all that bad when you're soloing. I mean, I had to fight those anyway for decent xp/sp.

The rest of the time if you can get in a party that's where the Euro chars get their power. 10% an hour is easy with a GOOD party. Chinese can get in it too but the bonus is lower than a pure 8-man Euro party.

I've played this character for over a year and a half now. I'm having fun with my friends, enjoy meeting new people in union from SRF, I help with the occasional trade run, I mess around. Progress is what you make it, and when I do get to the end game, I think I'll enjoy it just as much as I have been.

It's up to each person to decide what their priorities are. Some people want to get to cap quickly, and so their perception that the only way to achieve that goal is to bot. I can't blame them, but I haven't botted any of my chars :) and I hardly ever play on weekends, I have a life and a girlfriend and toys to play with outside of the game - a boat, a truck, camper, etc.

So yeah your mileage will vary, but no way do you need to bot or not have a life to play.

could you list a few quests you have had in ksro so we can make a direct comparison to isro?

havent played in a while, returned and was lvl 52, with a few quests
FW quests for 51-60, 90k xp rewards, and 200k xp, all together (5 quests or so) around 800k xp
Flower 46, hunt 500, 900k xp
Spiders 48, collect something, 900k xp
Pegs, kill 500, 5.4m xp
Spiders 53, 100 quest bags, 2.1m xp (or 2.4m xp, not online right now, so not 100% sure)
Spiders 52, hunt 300, (around 2m xp too, not sure exactly)

I did quests a long time ago, such as penons, cuz we PTed there, it was good xp too :)

ok, by a few calculations

Spoiler!

we can say that:
apart from the sp and gold reward, that's a great improvement, at least you can gap without worrying so much about lvling speed anymore

ye big differences, expect, if u need sp, and get the quest, u get 30% (for example) and no sp...so some calculations in sp farming may go wrong, also, u collect 8 cards, from FW, and can get a sun wep 64 lvl, so i cant wait to farm :D

if u mean the fast xp at low lvls, ye its good, but at lower lvls, u cant rlly do anything (especially in isro) and u get cool skills at higher lvls, so, for some its better at lower lvls, some dont care about the speed of lvling (and want to enjoy the game, so they probably like higher lvls more)
