I think 5x or less rates is perfect if the server is starting off at 60 cap.
It would also make leveling to the next cap easier if you're already at the cap, if anyone knows what I mean.

I personally have never been capped and being able to do so, regardless of it being a private server, will be fulfilling. (:

Maybe it's because I was 12 years old (thus not a lot of patience) and didn't know how to play, but grinding as Chin from Lv1-35 took forever.

because kirk isn't going to make the guild ill just go where ever my old Valhalla (if they are joining) peps are going. people from Sudden Death on ecsro are pretty much gone and Valhalla has a few people i know still play.

Empire guild on zszc is 90% filled with inactives, that Lobie hesitates to kick out from guild.

Extrapolation:
The move to zelos will be a predictable one. A conventional fun guild, that will soon become inactive when the majority of these forum weekend gamers get bored of tapping fingers to 60 at x1 rates. The initial hype wears off quicker than the time it takes to fix a critical server bug.

Fact:
Status guild was created solely to cater for guild space of friends who came to zszc, when space was unavailable within Empire. The separate formation was a mutual and non hostile one.

So why are there hostilities between Empire and Status?

Fact:
Empire guild kicked Status out of their union for reasons undisclosed.

Fact:
Status continued growing, in a space of two weeks recruited over 30 active players, involved in 4 guild wars and won 4 guild wars, made few allies but many enemies, and laid plans to continue expanding on zszc as well as zelos.

Fact:
Status guild rules are harsh. There is no minimum age limit, no requirements for maturity, nor are there any requirements to respect one another (let alone people outside the guild). Joining Status means you join and play with your enemies in one guild, teamwork is optional. Competition is fierce within the guild. It is the only guild that allows and encourages you to speak your mind, for better or worse.

Fact:
Status is not interested in stealing any Empire members. The actions of current Status members are of their own volition, and a reflection of how successful the guild is. Status is only interested in recruiting interesting members, with the correct and open mindset.

tldr; I encourage Empire (or Simple) to form their own guild on zelos and call that the primary SRF recruitment guild. Status have already made plans for zelos, and will not union with Empire (or Simple). Status will be a standalone guild, and will include Empire (or Simple) in its hostile guild list.

the only union that Empire lead had 3 guilds in it:
Empire
Euphoria
Status

Empire left the union to join Valentines union, nobody kicked anyone.

Where did you get this? I ALWAYS said that i could kick inactive people despite their lvl, their history in the guild w/e, so there would be always space for new people.

And we never kicked any1 from uni but FoE, cuz that guild died. We left afaik, and you guys started saying we left cuz of some fail troll; or cuz I asked not to mess with egy people.

Don't say empire, cuz not all of us were fighting were we? I was standing w/o doing anything and talking to you like normal people if i remember good. Because of 1 or 2 people u cant say the guild did something =/.
And yeah we left after the guy started trolling, just a coincidence we got the offer to join valentine's uni by then. No1 was even mad at the guy, we were even joking with him too.
We're kinda going offtopic and talking too much already (apologies), so i suggest to get back to the real topic which is the Zelos OB =) Peace

true.. i have so far kicked allot of ppl from the guild to make room for new joining players
so the ppl that are left are the active new ones and respected old members that i simply cant kick from the guild.

i never knuw there were hostalities between guilds maybe becuz i didnt get time to log on yesterday. and yes we split up without hostility what so ever.

Back on topic...


To be honest I really don't want the rates too high, it seemed that in zszc once you reached cap there was nothing to do but hunt uniques and waiting on them along with 20 other players didn't seem to attract much interest. The only thing zszc offered after reaching the cap was the people. I'm hoping that this server brings back the old events like santa items and gdf. Revitalizing trade would be great since that is one aspect that I find entertaining. I'd also like to experience ctf and fortresswar since I left sro before these features were implemented. As for the rates id recommend 1-5x and do like zszc retro by increasing the rates every weekend or only for weekly events, just don't make them too high because some of the fun of mmo's is the lvling even though some people ignore the fact. If party mobs are implemented then I'd appreciate 1 or 2 times. I guess you can experiment with different rates during the open beta and gather the server's opinions. As for the bot problem I say leave it to the legit players to handle them. If you can implement security that be great but all you really need is protectors in the shops(I don't know what took zszc so long to implement this). Also having the protectors give a custom status would be good so bothunters could ban the accounts with that status. Looking forward to the open beta and seeing where this server(emulator) goes.

edit:
If this is possible and I'm sure it is if you are running sql behind the main application is link the stallnetwork and other account features to a website.
