I hope I’m in the right section for my question, if not sorry.
I currently have a lvl 100 wizard/cleric with all masteries maxed and with almost all the skills in the wizard tree. I grew however a little bit bored of my wizard. Recently I’ve been thinking of changing him to battle bard. I’ve always wanted one.

Now my question: Do you think it’s do-able to delvl my whole wizard tree so I could change to bard? I have 300 silk which I’m willing to spend for that purpose. The rest I have to delvl by doing the cursed heart quest. How much money do you guys think this is going to cost me? And how much sp will I approximately lose by doing this?

about the skill dlvl:

300 silk converted into skill-edit potions will get you 50x 20% more sp back than the cursed hearts.

It will be quite alot since you are a high level,
but then again, as a euro you can just sit in parties as a cleric and wait for the hearts to drop while you spend your silk on other things.
With the killingspeed of a good euro party, that shouldn't take longer than 5-7 days.

Plus you won't need as much sp for a bard as you do for a wizard (assuming you used at least 3 elements in the wizard tree)

about the different classes themselves:
As a battle bard you will be around to clean up weaker/easy opponents while buffing with mana orbit and tambours/dances making you the perfect background/support character.
You will be the life of the party

If you prefer nuking and pointing at a group of dead people saying: "see them, it was i who slayed them", then you should stay wiz, since you wont cant really kill unless opponents are 5 lvls lower or unexpecting (or you just zerk lol).

I was however planning on collecting the cursed hearts all by myself, while grinding solo.
I just started playing again after a 1 year break and, with all my friends gone, the only parties it seems I can join nowadays are these turkisch euro bot parties. Not really tempted to join them. Hope it will change when I'll be bard.

So I thought of collecting the cursed hearts at Ongs. I can taxi for all the pfarmers there and make a little bit of money to make up for the loss with the delvling.
My decreasing wizard skills wont really affect my killing speed there.
what do you think?

you will get the money you used to dlvl your skills by offering ong taxis,
but you won't get hearts there since the level difference between you and the monsters is higher than 20.
Oh and as a 10d bard at the ongs nothing short of a nuker,rogue or other bard can ks you

About soloing: even in a party full of afk botters you will get the job done quicker, because turks jump at wizards like their lives depend on them.

Guess have to look for an alternative.
Just used nivlam to see how many skills I have to delvl in my wiz tree. It's a little bit less than 500. Now that is ALOT of cursed hearts.
Maybe I'm better of farming a new char with my wizard.

bard sux.. only good for ong farmming and buffer thats it..

I don't see how bard sucks.
I wasn't planning on pvping solo with it, if that's what you mean...

But I'm probably not gonna make the switch.
Too lazy to collect this huge amount of hearts.
Guess I'll stick to my wizard.
