Hello everybody.

I want to share, with you guys, my feelings that came across of a long period of inactivity. I started to play in 2006, on Babel, made an hybrid blader that literally sucked but i was proud of my daily effort and devoted love with that character. From my mistakes, i learned how to manage the game well. Then, i made a pure str glavier, called Spleen and had a lot of fun with him. I have tons of screenshots that make me laugh and put me on melancholic (emo mode) everytime i open them, because those were the good days. Back in time, people talked and acted nice, they worked hard to gain respect, they made trades from Jangan to Hotan (and of course Dw), they camped to kill the uniques with the guildmates and, maybe the most important thing, THEY WERE ACTIVE PLAYERS.

But now, several months later, i downloaded the client, logged on with one of my accounts and i got shocked inmediately. I said: "they just farked up this amazing game". They are all busy trying to reach the ridiculous cap (I'll give almost anything to make the game cap 70 again).
There's no personal approach now. They are just random players with high levels. There aren't epic guilds with legendary players. I remember guilds like Fable, HeroesVN, 3Xblessed, HEO, Nemesis, and players like Jexxx, Chad, Kaela, Amalie, and a long etc. that made Babel, back in time, an incredible server filled with tons of LIFE. Because that is what is lost now, LIFE; now, 4 years later, this game is dead.

Crazily enough, Odin was the same exact way when I started playing 4 years ago. Active players, people held events and stuff for the fun of it.

Now its only about the high level botters who PVP all day. Only reason I'd go back is for a friend, but thats it.

As taken out of my mouth (with different names though). I agree 100% with you. I miss the old times :( Sadly I didn't know how to take screenshot back when I started.

Would be nice if you would upload some of the pictures in this thread :sohappy:

private servers give you the game how you expect it to be
(at least partially)

joymin gives you the game to encourage you to throw money at it

The problems with private server is, that they are never as you think they're gonna be.

It's never as you remember isro was 4 years ago. You think you'll have fun events, you think you're gonna go unique hunting very often with your guild, you think that people are nice - but eventually you'll see that you're wrong. The community changed, and they change the game. People aren't doing much events, they are not doing much trades and everybody is mostly rushing towards the server cap, eventually because the server rates are 10x or 30x.

The game hosts give the game it's foundation.
What the gamers make of it depends on their mentality, which you correctly stated, will never be like 4 years ago.
The international version has had too much of an influence on the players for them to revert to their old playing style
(changes like: stallnet, autopotion, alchemy inflation, botting/taxi/pwrlvling)

Players are now marked/characterized more by their solitude and less by their interactivity, destroying the purpose of the game.

I agree. The bots and other stuff you mentioned had too much influence on most players, and that's the attitude they're taking with them to the private servers now :soosad:

for all i know, the sjsro private is an improved bot testingground.
everyone bots even with the 30x rates, no exceptions above lvl 80.

if it is possible they will do it.

ZsZc was mostly bot free as i tested it, but people relied an awful lot on their higher lvled friends to drive themm up to 8d

i wonder how it'd have been if we had all played private servers before going isro :?

I agree with all of you guys. Hopefully, with the help of a miracle, the game will get better. (Notice how positive i am).
