Heh, this brought back memories.

Miss all the folks I met over the time I was active (inactive before 90 cap released) - actually made it to 80 cap and had enough sp farmed for skills! I don't miss the grind much, but do miss the gameplay and especially the jobbing. (note: Xian thieves, I hated your guts, but damned if you didn't do a great job to make every night interesting for us hunters)

For a while there (2006/2007), the game was pretty fun, even remained fun after Euro was implemented. Then came the inevitable - the hacks, the sro witch trials (omgurabot), the sun hores - not cool. Then the bots got way too bad...couldn't get logged into game, etc and spending hrs in a queue line to try to log in isn't worth it. All the while JM didn't do anything major to combat things, even after all the promises.

I can remember being that nub with all 3 imbues...and weapon skills...and not knowing there was more than one page of skills under each mastery until 20ish, not knowing where the screenshots were stored.

other fun stuff:
lilasianboyz' counting-by-globals
pk hunts for Duck_Egg
having L30 force just to res fellow nubs and have a circle
f*****' around with those headless bastards at the back of jangan temple
falling asleep waiting for tg/uri to spawn, and waking up to find yourself dead/armor broken or disconnected msg
Being in my own guild, then ShadowHawk, finally moving to Blackhand (BHA  )
Remembering the days you could start off on a trade run, and end up wearing every job suit before it was over, lol!
sirshadowcat's global rants
hearing '10kplys' over and over...
Wondering how many times could yoxoxo or w/e his name was kill Yarkan at the start of 80 cap before someone else did

Alas, the 'fever' is now broken, hehe. For those still playing, hats off! I still think it would have been even harder to pull away from this game had the triangular conflict been a bit more developed (bring back the merc wars) instead of the game being a huge grindfest, and being molded to the addicts/botters. Have they released the $50 ultra premium super duper ticket yet? :palm:

Theres a name I remember.

Man I started this game when only xian existed. I was feeling a little nostalgic today and wanted to try to log in just to see the place again but I can't remember my password for the life of me -.- Funny I can remember my alt account but not my main. I also obscured all by info on the account at some point for fear of hackers so until I can figure it out the account is lost for the time being.

Going back to early Xian man what a crazy place it was. There was so many era's of dominant guilds I can't even remember them all. I can't remember the name of the 1 guild that was terrifying at 60 cap(or at least to me, I was like who don't mess with those guys) I think one of the toons names was Snow(could be wrong though). Of coarse Derranged had their time, also have too list off Blackhand, Malice Army, Sudden Death and all the other that joined the BHA. People like suicidegrl, nightbloom, fly. Of coarse lilasianboys/pompomtheice/simpilysimple.

No auto pots, no item mall, there was like nothing in the game at this point but it was fun as hell at the time. I wish I still had some of my screen shots from way back when. I do remember seeing my first sox weapon was like a 40 ish bow think the name was Sonji or something like that. Everyone said that it was hacked and stuff because no one had seen that stuff yet. omg I have the SS saved online:

Image

Made it to lvl 87 100% legit, as a blader none the less but everyone knows the state of the game now. All the people I enjoyed playing with left the game and eventually as did I.

Phill Ash! Sup guys been ages since I've seen you guys. Can't say i'm old skool didn't start playing till couple months before 70 cap. Those days were more pure for sro the bots used to be scared and grind in out of the way places. Loggin whenever you wanted no problem. I left the came before 100 cap after getting my wiz/bard ff 90 then went to work on my pure str glaive but was soo bot infested couldn't find a grind spot so gave up and moved on. I remember grinding in talkmaka(spelling) with phill for hours be funny when he took a break he wouldn't go to a safe place just kinda stop somewhere kinda empty and go afk cant tell ya how many times I come around and he be dead. The dc master ash in generals parties think one night you couldnt stay connect for more then 5 min at a time good times.

Holy smokes an Iremoon has appeared.

I totally forgot about my dc issues when grinding generals, I wanted to rage so hard some nights and prob would've if I didn't have my fancy ticket to get me back online. That was around 80 cap when the infamous question mark error started to plague the game. Aw man we killed a lot of generals back in the day( well not way back in the day but like half way back to back in the day ;) )

Hehe... BrowNTyGeR is pretty old school. He probably laid the foundation for the predecessor of the old school.

How the hell do you even have SS from 2005... I've been through so many HDDs and reformats. =(

BTW, I had SS of Brown doing the exact same thing to a group of hunters, but little later in 60 cap. I believe he typed, "I'm going to kill you all" and then a few of them LoL'd... next thing they're all dead. Was good times.

I am still here. I don't play anymore though. I let the bots irritate me too much. Even pvp was won by bots anymore.. no fun.

I barely remember much i only remember my pw for this site cant believe its still here. I saw a few people who i barely remember like a few admins. I quit around the time they gave out the euro silkroad.
I do remember getting the first yarken kill on my server when they raised the level cap.
I also remember my enemies in the game more than the friends i had haha. There were a lot of fun times lots of thieves vs hunters ..
I really enjoyed this game back then

I posted this, so i guess im still around. But, just as many others realized, we didn't quit because we needed to get on with life, got a new job, girl etc, we quit because of the Farking bots, the Farking grind and because the game just has NO CONTENT WHAT SO EVER.
