For years people cry about Joymax not enforcing their own policies..
THEN THE MINUTE THAT THEY START
what do we do?
Cry about that too!
You got banned because you're god damn stupid. Go get powerleveled by a bot in a different game k?

Can someone pls direct me to the part in the TOS where getting powerlvled by a bot is not allowed? How are you suppose to verify this, PM the powerlvling every 5 mins to see if he responds?
Unless the powerlvler tells you he bots, kinda hard to find out. He could just have his siblings play SRO so the powerlvl can go 24/7.... it could happen...

But in the USA, we have something called innocent until proven guilty. Who knows, the powerlvler could be a team of chinese kids that play sro 24/7... Just saying, it's a possibility.

I'm glad the are banning! but WTF! why dont they ban the damn gold bots before even considering banning a person with a full client and a life...they know what to do with money. They are just a quick cash company that doesnt takes risks, looses a lil for a ultimate gain, they just want qucik easy cash, thats why gold bots exist! JM DOESNT CARE! WoW POWER! jk ^_^

Try to be at the bottom of the party list next time to avoid ban.

CeLL wrote: lol This is awesome. I know they were DC'ing obvious bot parties, but now they are banning the participants too. That’s great. Enough people pay this guy, he either sells the gold and gets more bot time or give the gold to someone for bot time. Either way yes you are contributing. Nice.
and you cant charge back, you get banned for a few days, they decide they wont give you your money back, then they unbanned you end of story. hahaha they're banning bot party participants now? That is awesome! I love it.

He mentioned that the guy he paid got dced afterward. My guess to why he got banned/pmed is that whoever was plvling him had a party registration message up saying something like "s>plvl using some bot ect blah blah" and then he probably ended up being leader when the other guy dced. Then because he was leader it looked like he was the one broadcasting that message in party registration.

Unless the powerlvler tells you he bots, kinda hard to find out. He could just have his siblings play SRO so the powerlvl can go 24/7.... it could happen... Well if Joymax can identify a player as a bot, they can surely identify what players are in that botter's party and ban them all. Start from the bot and ban his party members, rather than try to figure out if a "legit" player's power leveler is a bot or not.

I think that is what they were taking about. Think as this ban is a break time for you to see the sun, don't take it personal, Joymax got the right to screw you whether you are right or wrong and you don't have the right to say "Ouch this shit really hurts". I'm gonna show you an awesome trick, scroll down the page of http://silkroadonline.net/ all way to the end/bottom , you will find useless shit about company services etc..... then Terms of use ( that's the one), tricky don't you think! Ofy dude, misses you biatch <3

I'm not sure if it was stated-I didn't read most the thread because it was on fire- but I'm pretty sure the reason he was banned wasn't because he was in the party getting plvl. It was because in party match the botter had something like, "24/7 bot plvl" and when -like he said- the botter got d/c, he took over as leader of party and the party was still in the match system. So it looked like he was promoting a 3rd party program.
What is wrong with the people talking about being powerleveled is against the TOS... Do you want Joymax to ban people who have a botter on their friends list, or maybe ban a whole guild/union for having a botter in it. Maybe even ban someone for selling to a botter?
If you're mad that Joymax isn't banning everyone but yourself... Get over it. Obviously this isn't the game you should be playing if you can't be happy to just play it and not worry about the next guy. -That remark is aimed at the guy raging ballz over the topic starter getting plvled.

Of course bot powerlevel isn't specifically against the TOS. It's a nice little loophole isn't it? Bot powerlevel is a nice little way to gain the benefits of botting without actually using an illegal 3rd party program yourself. It works even better than real botting since you gain experience even faster than you would by doing the botting yourself. So you get all the benefits without the risk of a ban. Let's all milk it while it lasts. Latch on to those botters and get in all the bot plvl we can while they're not banned. Once they are all gone, then it's back to short term plvl (not 24x7) and normal grinding for everyone.

If I'm going to take powerlevel from anyone it's usually in guild or union or friends. Anyway. Your point is correct, and yes, until they're banned (when will that be, Joymax?) people will take advantage of it.

Nice logic there and followed by many others who posted in that thread. It fails, tho. Where? What if someone advertise a powerlevel party. Nothing illegal there. Some noobs joins it. The powerleveler is actually a 'babysitter' botter, but no one in the party knows it. GM comes and ban whole party? Eh no. Dont tell me 'its easy to know that he bots' because its not always the case, for lets say Wizards and Bards that have pets to autopick. It can be hard to detect the bot, even more if the guy is babysitting his bot and answer to most PM. So thats why JM WONT do this. Some already said it, but the reason of the ban was probably more the party text description and the fact that the powerleveled was the new party leader. Oh and, as for me, banning someone that get powerleveled by a bot, even if he knows its a botter, isnt a valid reason to ban. Well, it would be IF Joymax would first ban all the high level botters that bot 24h/24 7 days a week. Now, thats just ruining the game of people who have no effect on the botting community.

If you really must get power level from someone, get it from someone you can trust. Don't just pick some party in the match system that happens to be advertising. If you take that advertised party, it's the chance you take that he might be a botter. Your character is moving around the map, getting experience, and whatever else without you actually controlling it. The character isn't even being controlled by another live player. A 3rd party bot program is controlling the power leveler's character, which in turn is dragging you around the map via trace and dumping exp on you. You're still using 3rd party software to gain a benefit in the game, even if that 3rd party software is not executing directly on your computer's CPU and using your computer's RAM and video card. The game mechanics allow for power leveling, even though I don't believe that was the intent at all, so I guess Joymax can't ban for power leveling specifically. However, if the power leveler is run by a bot, your character, in a sense, is being run by a bot. If that's not a problem, then why don't we all just create a bot on a new computer and use it to plvl our main. Then when the bot gets banned, who cares? Just make a new one and bot it up... All the while, your main is completely safe.

You are NOT responsible of what others are doing in your party. Should you also ban people who are grinding with botters in high lvl 8 mans party? NO. And from reading your post, I see your are against powerlevel altogether. So your point of view is biased and invalid. Quote: You're still using 3rd party software to gain a benefit in the game, even if that 3rd party software is not executing directly on your computer's CPU and using your computer's RAM and video card. lol? so basicly if someone use an auto spammer to sell an item and you buy it, you should be banned? Dude come on, i hope you dont actually believe what you are writing there. For a valid ban, the user must run the 3rd party on his own computer lol. Else you're not banning the right account. Like someone else said, then you might as well ban anyone that either: Talk to a botter, sell or buy from a botter, grind at same spot as a botter, play in same guild/alliance... You dont think the life of legits is ruined enough by botters? Quote: Ignorance is no excuse. If you really must get power level from someone, get it from someone you can trust. Don't just pick some party in the match system that happens to be advertising. If you take that advertised party, it's the chance you take that he might be a botter. Okay, then might as well remove party match from game? And also prohibit players from partying with people they dont know? In case they could be 'hidden' botters. Wow what a great MMORPG! So you are against party matching and powerleveling and you think we should listen to your point of view on this subject here? This fail... Ignorance IS an excuse in this case, and this is why i think even Joymax would never do such a thing as ban people because they are in same party as one botter. And if you want to keep the new very very (i could add a few more 'very' there) few players that are starting playing and play legit, you will have to tolerate this and just ban the source of the problem. I mean, some botters have been making tonnnns of characters since SRO started, some run multiple parties full of players ran by the same person, they also run powerlevel party to make gold and make new characters. THOSE are the problems, Joymax shouldnt even loose time with people that have no effect on the botting community and just focus on the source of the problem: the hardcore botters and the bot programs/programmers.

Basically what I'm trying to say is: Play the game for fun(Its why its called a game), don't worry about everyone around you, and if you aren't able to do that then just leave it.

I'm glad you're not my neighbor, you'd be calling the police on me just for getting a new car if I didn't buy you one too. Don't throw a fit about people getting powerleveled. If its apart of that game then they have every right to do it. You don't make the rules, Joymax does. Basically what I'm trying to say is: Play the game for fun(Its why its called a game), don't worry about everyone around you, and if you aren't able to do that then just leave it. I'm not 100% against power level. I do think it's boring and stupid. I'd much rather actually play the game, play my own character. I am against bot plvl though since I don't really see a difference. The end result is the same, and you're getting that result because of 3rd party software. Not YOU specifically since you say you don't get power leveled. I don't either. Power level (bot or legit) has definitely changed the game. For the worse IMHO. It used to be where everyone actually played in parties, or alone, and actually played together. Now if you decide to play on your own, or in a party, you'll often find some high level character power leveling stomping into the area like they own the place. Why should I have to roam around the map trying to find a quiet place just because 50 people insist on plvling all over the ice in karakoram like I don't belong there? I'm not throwing a fit anyway. I'm calmly discussing the topic.
