hi all. I hope someone can help me with this. how to really quit silkroad online? I've tried several times but I end up coming back in 1-2 month latter on a new version/server/character. and no I don't really want to play a new game cause I might get a addicted to it.. please share your story. How did you manage to leave it. (please don't give me stuff like "don't leave") I'd also prefer if reply was without a picture to make you look more cool :D

oh and sorry if this supposed to be posted in QA section..

EDIT: sorry for the fail at topic name -.-! I thought I wrote "how do you quit" :soosad:

I throwed all my gear+gold in South DW, made myself the highest murderer(dont remember the murder cap?, was long time ago)

Uninstalled and left. Played like a 1-1½ year on private server and some other versions of SRO. After that I havent touched silkroad.

^--This. I also went to other games to get away from SRO, and it worked great on quitting. Yes, I still get on this website, but that's because of the Off Topic and Other Games section.

You've gotta get demotivated. Go out, get a girl.

I too have quit with the intention of never playing again only to find myself back in a matter of months. Eventually the thing that worked in keeping me away from this game was when I decided to quit for a 3rd time, I gave my lvl 99 character, the only character I had to a friend along with the secret answer. Since then I have wanted to come back to the game, but realizing that I no longer had my character to play, I was instantly demotivated. It is a hard thing to do, giving away all that you have worked for in the game, but once you do it, you cannot undo it, and that will allow you to finally rid yourself of this life-sucking addiction.

1) Delete all your chars on all the servers that you have them.... along with all items (Gold SOX etc)
2) Uninstall the game as well as the installer
3) Think of a hobby that you've always wanted to do but never got around to doing it. Like joining a local sports team or a club...or martial arts.... anything where you're presence is needed outside of your house regularly.

You're addiction will have to be replaced with something else or it wont work. After you've tried my 3 steps if you ever decide to start playing again lets hope its at a time where SRO is at a 120+ cap where the grinding needed to get from level 1 to 120 is too much work where you won't even want to try.

Hit the cap, lost interest in the game, sold the character, never thought of the game again. Just visited this forum every now and then.

My story.

I went to the storage, grabbed all my som and sun gears and all my gold, and then gave gold/gears to every person I knew in the town. Last but not least, you will have to "murder"

Go to downhang south, be annoyed by the bots with magic pop suns and turks shouting at everyone.
Murder them, many times, give your gear away to a friend, uninstall game.

It aint That hard you know.

When I quit I left nothing behind. I gave away all my gear to my union. Had a thread where people posted which gear they wanted. I then had a raffle for the gold. I deleted the character.

Now if you have an urge, one you quit since the login boss is invincible. If you do manage to beat it, then you realize, level 1, wait another 99. Logoff.

1) Give all your stuff away
2) That doesn't work, use bot until you get banned... oh wait, you won't ever get banned. nvm.

That wouldn't work for me, if I gave my chars away I could get them back instantly if I asked probably. Or else they would let me use a char of them haha xD Gotta love friends

This works very well. I think the only reason why I still play is because I've never made any of the caps. If I ever did and end up giving away my char or losing it somehow I'd definitely quit.

ok mate, this is the real deal.

1) Delete the game.

2) Look inside of you, check your dreams out, think how you'd like to be in 10 years from now

3) Subscribe to a gym.

4) Read psicology books.

5) Eat well, and try to bring your sence of humour out.

6) Pursuit your dreams, create strong friendships, fill your life with stuff you want to do that's actually real.

7) Get the profit from it. Live happily.

peace, no need to say thanks.
