Just a few questions I'm getting into the meat of the game now and I need to know what I'm doing. I'm trying to avoid sp farming because I don't want this game to be a chore, but maybe I'm naive.

1. Does str affect the damage of weapon skills?

2. Same question for Int and imbues/nukes.

3. Can I max out all the Spear skills and the Lightning skills with a lvl 3 gap?

4. Will I be able to get the cold and force passives as well with the 3 gap?

With the skill questions, I'm just questing and I will start trading soon, I don't exactly sp farm at all.
I apologize if these questions were asked before, but my questions are a bit too specific to find in the forums.

1. yes
2. yes (if you mean int affects magical dmg)
3. Unlikely. If you want to master all the spear skills and lightning, go for at least a 5 gap. Then slowly closes the gap as your lvling speed decreases to gap 3. Even with these, i don't think you will barely pass the mark
4. Impossible at higher lvls.

yes, i agree with vulperin

1. yes
2. yes, int affects attacks, int is only way to be a nuker (if you want to be one, very suggestive)
3. not so much with a 3 lvl gap, but maybe with a 5+ will be a lot more helpful, with a 3 lvl your not getting a lot of sp, but more than if you werent gap'ing. i would suggest a 5 or 6 lvl gap for that, wold be much easier
4. no, very hard (as i explained in #3)

and dont apologize, just review. search button is an amzing tool

Thanks for the responses, now more questions:

1. Do nukes or weapon skills do more damage?

2. Do regular attacks outshine skills (damage-wise) in higher levels like some RPG's turn out?

3. During trade runs, what do the level of npc thiefs correspond to? The level of the merchant doing the trade, or anyone in the party?

4. What's the payout like in trades from 1 star to 5 stars? I mean how much money is made per run?

a few clarifications first.

Strength will affect the damage of your physical attack (if you run up and hit something with a blade, glave, spear or shoot it with a bow.

Int will affect the macigal damage, like if you use imbue or shoot a nuke/lionshout.

Nukes on a pure int character do more consistant damage, physical attacks will be lower in damage unless they get a critical, then it will be higher. Hybrids are somewhere in the middle. (the answer is kind of vague because it really depends)

Skill attacks do more DOT than do regular attacks.

The NPC thiefs are around the level of the trader.

The payout varies by level (you carry more goods each level). It is around 600% of purchase price of the goods. More detail is in the trader guide in the guides section. Use caution doing a multistar, chances are good someone will (at least attempt) to rob you.

Thanks again for the responses, but now more:
(DOT is Damage Over Time I believe)

1. What is the max HP/MP, 9999?

2. Does physical balance affect the damage of Weapon skills?

3. Same question for Magical balance and Nukes/Imbues.

4. Would a low Int stat mean Nuke damage is always on the min side, or is there a roll for it?

5. Is there a limit to damage (i.e. 99999)?

This last question is a little vague, but hopefully someone understands what I'm asking:
In High level PvP do nukes or weapon skills do more damage?

bump

Actually I can answer these on my own now thank you very much:

1. Not limited to 9999 at the very least.

2. Yes.

3. Yes.

4. I'm thinking yes, low Int, low Mag balance % = weak nuke.

5. 9999 is not the limit anyway, haven't seen above 57k in the forums.

6. From what I've found, Nukers can do 8k+ damage to an area, and a weapon skill user can do 6k+ to a single enemy.

So thanks to no one in particular, this forum was a great resource though, now I can make my Str heavy Hybrid... since I know how to optimize my damage output.

Good luck to the rest of you.
