So yeah, seeing the new "efforts" of joymax to somewhat "clean" the game,
i decided to redownload and reinstall the game.
After login in (first try, i though this was a good start).
i was guildless (obviously, i quit like months ago and didnt log back in)
so i start pming ppl i knew from back then for a guild. I joined a guild
where i knew some ppl. Now there is no confederation so i went ahead and partied with bots. The first pt i get in is a lvl 100 wizz partying on 94 mobs with a few other union members. I start luring things and guess what, his bot his set to no KS so he doesnt attack stuff i lure. Oh well 20 mins later i just left the pt cuz the guy was not comming back anyway.
I guess this was just a bad luck so i logged back in the next day (first try again, pretty much the only positive thing) and i went pvp a little bit. What do i see there ?? full sun ppl camping ppl out of the safezone... Oh well thank magic pop....
Then i guessed whatever ill just join a pt and grind, surprisingly there was a 7/8 pt that needed a warrior for 99 mobs, so i joined.
Obviously the pt was full of turks but i went on and pted with them.
After meeting at the medusa entrance in middle of B4 we went west only to find 4 parties of bots botting there. So we moved to north, only to find 3 other bot parties. At this point the party decided to stay there and "KS" a party with 2 sun wizz (thanks magic pop).
So yeah, i quit the pt and tried to search for ppl to trade, but it seems like no one trades anymore.

Anyway, uninstalled sro.....this game is really not worth playing anymore.
For those of you that are thinking of re-playing sro, DONT.

So you give the game 2 days and decide to quit coz you could'nt find a place to "grind" ? how you get to lvl 94 in the first place lol. The game really aint that bad and you should'nt quit coz you were in a party full of useless turks. Find an english guild and then give the game a second chance!
:D

I've been on venus since day 1 playing with avalon. I partied a lot. I was capped at 80, i was then capped at 90. So yeah i didnt become 94 in two days. I quit a few days after 100 cap come out.
(on a side note: 80 cap was the best of all time for me, as there was no sun)

My guild speaks english, i dont see how the grind spots could get better if i give the game more than 2 days...

Yup, i didnt even mention when i went for medusa. There was like 5 sun wizzies waiting there...

Lol wut. So the only reason you didn't party with bots was because the confederation was there? I think you missed the point of why legits don't party with bots. They aren't even going to give you a good partying experience, as you have found out by now. If you want a better pvp experience, go to ctf. If it isn't bugged, it should be kinda fair. You can also ask your ctf partners to go party with you at X mobs afterwards. Most people in the game are followers and not leaders, so if you want a party, you have to take the incentive to make a party and people will join. Trading is still alive, but since there are no protections, it's rare to survive without backup. It also looks like you joined the wrong guild too, if there was no one you could party or trade with in there.

Back then, i didnt party with bots because we had other legits to party with. But now if i try to make an 8/8 pt with legits....im just gonna wait forever because there are no more legits to pt with.

Venus is ripe for a legit movement.

It's a shame no one is willing to take the challenge on and start with a small community.

You're so right Snow.
But well, most of this, except the bots, is really the community's fault, not Joymax'.

I tried Venus a few times after i quit and after the confederation was gone.

Complete waste of time. Impossible to solo as i was 78 pure cleric. Pretty much impossible to party because either.. there were no parties, or the party was shockingly bad. I remember joining a wings party, and we would just be killing about 3 mobs at a time. Would've got around 1-2% per hour. Back in the legit days, i think i got something like 7-10% an hour (cant remember exactly). Complete waste of time now.

Dont expect it to ever be anything like how it used to be.

Seems like the problem with the legit communities on venus, is that the average level within the communities tend to be towards the lower end of the level spectrum, thus why there is barely anything for high level legits to do.

That is true. All the high levels quit, started botting, or are sitting on their hands wishing for a strong legit guild to pop up before they decide to come back.

Then you have people that come back, party with bots, join a bot guild or inactive guild, pvp with bots, get frustrated and leave. :(

:palm: I quit in 08, two years have passed, thought I'd check out how the forums are. Haha still the same or worse? The game is dead? or at the brink, another year perhaps and game-over?

Cap 70 will forever be the last Great SRO Experience.

isro is not dead, it's just morphed into some sort of twisted mmorpg simulator with turkish as the dominating language.

Same can be said for the other way around, at least back when Venus was thriving with activity. There seemed to be more high level players there and less low levels. So there wasn't much for a low level to do besides grind solo, grind with a few other low levels if lucky, or get power leveled. I always chose solo grinding. Only made it to 38 on a rogue xbow bard before quitting. :(

I'm trying to figure out how the Venus phenomenon happened .... How did we manage to gather that much people. I really would like a remake of Venus Confed(without the gay rules) but it seems pretty impossible because no one wants to start over on a new server. Then again Venus somehow convinced a lot of players(including Avalon) to start fresh..

Back then, Venus was the 2nd major try to gather legits.
1st was by Key-J to Hercules, it did get some attention and quite a number of players to join, but it soon fall apart because the core members wasn't quite that active.
Then came Venus with 4-5 anchors, they manage to gather the MOST legits, then actively talk abt it on SRF. The set up rules, alot of dramas and more talking on SRF and other forums.
Alot of indirect advertising... thats wat get the players there.
The key to Venus success is the Bitch and Drama factor. Which Herc lack.

I understand where you are coming from. You were maybe hoping that when you came back it would be similar to the past when you and your original group of friends and acquaintances would gather together and have fun. Or at least these new people you meet would be fun. Those days will never come back. The game has changed much since then and lots of who you know have moved on.

The best you can hope for if you still love isro is to find new friends or wait to see if Joymax will release iSRO2 where the experience can start over again like the old days when everything was still sorta new to you. I myself feel that void when I log on.

Feels like I'm standing in a empty shell of what used to be fun. I still keep in touch with a few old friends via e-mail and they occasionally log on. If it weren't for them I'd definitely quit. iSRO is fun only when you have a group of people to make some great memories. Friends and even foes.
