If it does, Joymax should just shut down all the gold selling websites. I bet Joymax has reasonable evidence. Ive seen other games where the company sues the gold selling websites.

Why would they do that? That would open the servers... then people would stop being premium to login.

Yes...and Joymax will have you believe that they don't tolerate gold buying but gold selling companies have been selling gold in the game for such a long time now that we all believe Joymax is benefiting from it.

Joymax could easily just sell gold. So anyone who says they dont ban gold bots because of premium have no clue what they are typing about. They would sell alot of gold in game if this was an option.

Who said it's illegal? If it was illegal it wouldn't be there.

Joymax can just create ingame gold as much as they want.

If i would buy premium at all, i'd buy it because of it's bonuses for str, int etc and for weapon pimping.

Buying gold from gold companies' sites will make them produce even more.

Joymax got a really weird business operation. It doesn't seem to make sense from an outside perspective. They will quickly ban a single player for charge backs but seem to be reluctant towards getting rid of gold selling sites which make a hell of a lot more money from their game. Which makes us think that Joymax is affiliated with these gold sites. But then...when you consider that Joymax could sell the gold themselves it makes you scratch your head and wonder whats going on.

I believe you are a Yank? The sue thing doesn't make scense, sue someone doesn't help them for not doing it. You have to get by the core of the problem that is: Joymax it self.

No, buying gold does not support gold botters.

Why would it?

if joymax sell gold in game then the essence of the gameplay is useless like trade run jobbing and etc.

On the Topi: Yes buying gold support goldbotter that's why goldbotters exist in this game coz they have gold buyers.

Gold selling sites wouldn't even exist, or at least wouldn't operate in iSRO of iSRO players didn't buy gold, or if the gold buyers were eliminated.

Instead of trying to shut down gold selling sites, Joymax should work on a way to identify who the gold BUYERS are in the game and ban them. If an account suddenly acquires 500 million gold (just an example) in a single transaction, the server can check where that came from. If it came from a character identified as (or suspected as) a gold bot, ban the player, or at least temp-ban or warn him.

The server should be able to tell the difference between my character acquiring 500 mil from selling a weapon in my stall and from exchanging that gold with a character named gsosivowqw who has been spamming "BUY SRO GOLD www.blah.com 5 dollar 10 million" for the past 7 days.

Maybe there shouldn't be an immediate ban, but flag an account suspected of gold buying. 3 strikes and you're out maybe, or just simply permaban. That would (hopefully) scare enough people away from gold buying. :)

I dont think the gold sellers use the SDFER43sd characters to give their costumers the gold, I think they got other characters for that. Back when I played iSRO you could see the goldbots standing at one point and another character was standing still infront of them and disconnected as soon they moved away from there. This was around early-mid 08, dunno if it is a new system now.

So they probably log in with the storage characters and give the gold to their costumers.

As far as i know when gold companies sell gold to their customers, they just give the customer a lv1 char with the amount of gold requested. So JM can't identify the gold buyer.

Well whether it is done this way, or the way HejsaN suggested above (with a storage character) the transfer of gold has to happen somehow. Joymax should be able to track this exchange. However, the actual purchase, the transfer of real cash to pay for this gold, happens offline where Joymax can't track it. So I'm not sure now how they would actually enforce the 'no gold buying/selling' rule. If my main suddenly receives 900 million from some random character, did I buy it, or did some rich legit give it to me when he quit?

At least if the gold originated from asdfasfdhu, I *probably* bought it...
