good mouse razer or high end logitech ones with good mouse pads can help a lot with aiming.. but yea at the end of it css/1.6 is all about spending time and practice.. but I have met some people who are relatively new comers and have kicked old school players buttocks!
Hmm, if you want to get lots of practice, you can do it easy with source. Just open up your own local server and spawn like 20+ bots. Have them move like pros, but no wep. no knives, just move around. It'll get you use to snapping your cursor over their head, as in most real games, ppl are moving, not crouched and sitting ducks. I can get you a list of console commands to make own server with no wep cept u and u can practice. It helps a lot when u first start off. About an hour a day will help your accuracy and reflexes. This only works for source of course. I'd spawn the most ur comp can handle with no little to no lag.
In retrospect, if you're completely new, you might want to set the bots to easy or med. They will move a little but in a linear fashion. On expert, they tend to strafe back and forth a lot more making it much harder to get an easy headshot.
