Has anyone played RE5 on PC yet? It was just released yesterday from steam @ 50$USD. I'm debating weather to buy it or not, because i dont know how online play will turn out and stuff; I think RE5 is a good game though, considering i played the first chapter on the 360 before. I need opinions and reviews from those who have it :)

I'm so getting it! :D Later, not right away, but I'll get it.
They (the fans, that is) will probably make mods for it, like they did for RE4. This one uses a different engine, but a guy already messed around with the benchmark, so it's just a matter of time.

Brand new mercenaries mode, too! That alone is worth getting it, the console version of RE5's Mercenaries was already more addicting than crack.

But those new outfits..
Sheva's new costume is Hunnigan (from RE4), and Chris' costume is... Errrr..

All i have to say is check the game out carefully, RE4 on the PC when first out
didnt come with any mouse support (entirely on the PC) and made the game extremely
unbearable to play until a mouse support patch was realised. Lets just hope Capcom
have learnt their lesson here :P

Just as I saw this I knew RuYi was in.

Anyways, I already have RE5 for the 360, and I'm not sure my laptop can run this beauty.

I still hope y'all have fun playing it tho.

I'm getting it tomorrow, I can't wait. :) Think I'll still play with my 360 controller lol, I got so used to it since I have been playing the 360 version every day since the release at March.

You can mod the game too, that's definitely a pluspoint the console version doesn't have. I played around with the RE5 benchmark a bit, and you can edit loads. You can convert the model to .OBJ and edit it in Milkshape.

Spoiler!

I wish I had the game already so I could replace Chris with Wesker and play RE5 until the epic showdown of Wesker vs. Wesker. >:3

I had Steam, but I didn't like it. Is it required for online coop play? :\
I'm not going to wait 3 years to download the game from there.

iunno

but you can just go to the store and buy RE5 and activate it's product on steam ( i think, you can do this for other games but iunno about RE5; ) so you dont have to download it from steam. And download speed is around 1mb/s for me, ia uctually like steam lol :p

guess wut guys, im downloading it now :D Only at 15% right now cause the game itself is big, but pm me so we can play :D

EDIT: I just killed the chainsaw boss guy, and it turns out you dont need Steam to play RuYi :D But you have to install windows live ( games thing ) to talk over mic and you can add friends and stuff from there. I'm leaving this game to go to sleep now, but be aware, ill be paying 2morrow  This game is full of win, <3 it

I'm completely new at this Windows Live stuff, so this is required to play in co-op, or just to enable the microphone and to add friends? I take it that they enable that stuff with the game? :\
I'm still waiting for the douches at the store to put it in the shelf. I can't believe they need 7 hours to do that, but fine.

How's mouse support? I saw that the laser is disabled then, and instead you get giant crosshair of doom. *gets new batteries for controller*

I think it is required to play co-op RuYi. It asked me to make a account when I first pressed Play, so I assume it is required. Its no hassle though, pretty neat. It looks alot like the Xbox 360 live. You can access adding friends, and talking on the mic and stuff by pressing the HOME button; even in game. I think there is still laser, but you have to buy/find it; cause i was playing with this one guy and he had a laser on his pistol. Oh and the Crosshair thing is alright, kinda big o.O, but it isnt 100% accurate, shakes and etc. to make it more realistic

This is all I can say right now, cause well im only at Chapter 2-2 lol, hope you get the game soon though, so we can play later :] oh and pm me sometime later too if u still got my msn

If you press home, the whole live thing should pop up, and there should be an option to add friends.

EDIT: Yeah, its [Home] > Friends > Add friend
While you're at it, add me too, RuYi.

Can't get a hold of this GFWL.. I made an account there, but I got no mail or anything to my e-mail. When I try to register again, it just redirects me to the index page. So right now I don't know if either I have an account or not on there.
